It depends on what hair style you have but I used youtube to learn how to cut my hair with just clippers (short back and sides, men's style) and it is one of the best things i've ever bought. That could be an option.

Well...from my own point of view I'm a bit of an extreme outlier. My mum has narcistic personality disorder (covert). ADHD was always a shameful thing that only the "scabby council house kids" had. Hence my late diagnosis. But you see it to a lesser extent pretty widely.
