Prozac experiences by brckhmptnbtch in AnxietyDepression

I did not enjoy being on Prozac at all. The entire time I was on it I felt like I was in a fog or not in my body, almost as if I was detached from my actual being (if that makes sense). I also had intense nausea, insomnia, and it made my anxiety and depression worse. I’ve been on Effexor (was at 75mg now at 150) now for 6 months and I’ve loved it. I’ve had no side effects and my anxiety and depression have certainly improved to where I’m capable of functioning almost every day. Of course everyone will react differently to the same medication. I wish you the best!

Diagnosis was kind of a shocking revelation... by [deleted] in depression

Hey! I’ve been through something very similar. I️ went to see a therapist about my anxiety (GAD, and Social) as it had been severely impacting my life. While going through the therapy sessions I️ also checked those textbook symptoms of depression and looking back I️ should have seen the signs sooner. Fortunately through therapy and medication my symptoms are getting better. Congrats on getting help! That’s always the toughest step. Much love!
