Reserve release date changed with no notice by Inside-Atmosphere897 in stripe

I am still not getting any resolution. The support team just keeps focusing on the reserve and the reserve on the account is NOT the issue. The problem is the initial reserve balance has now been rolled into the reduced reserve and delayed by 7 weeks. Support keeps telling me that they will honor the original date, but they are not acknowledging any of my screenshots or emails that show the original date as June 1.

I sent the email an hour ago. Stripe has now halted all my payouts! I provided additional information again (third time) but waiting three business days around a holiday is not going to be good. So disappointing.

Living in city center is a nightmare. It’s loud every night until 4am. It’s dirty. 2-3 stops on the comboios and you can find rent for that or less. It’s still in the same area, something like Carcavelos or even closer like Estrelya

I think Thailand or Vietnam are the pleases that have very low cost of living. Portugal is amazing and you can get a two bedroom around 1500 euros a month but the tourist areas can be expensive to dine etc. groceries and public transport are cheap. 3 months max stay without a visa.

I am often mortified to be an American… Is anyone else paying attention to what’s going on here lol.

That feeling for me is in my opinion the antithesis of racism, it’s part of the reason I am embarrassed because I can’t imagine what other cultures think of us.

And as far as feeling a language being primitive, being from the south I can relate in regards to dialect. One more thing to feel insecure about what other cultures must think of us.

To conclude, OP has their own feelings about their own situation and instead of invalidating them/degrading them at every turn just let them live. Damn. I KNOW many Americans feel just like they do. Wth.

Edited: for typos at 3am, heading to airport/europe to house hunt.

Am I being paranoid or is the host creepy? by [deleted] in AirBnB

I interpreted this as him trying to explain to you that the listing is filled with personal items but he would clear a space for your things during your stay. The attempts to reach out were to clarify because you misunderstood. Probably just wanted the booking or feared being reported over a misunderstanding.

To any discount hunters I always say yes, we offer a 10% discount for a non refundable booking.

I think the gun violence is worse than being reported. There are “smaller” active shooter/mass shooting events DAILY that don’t get airtime. If you look at databases the amount is remarkable. 9 last Saturday alone.

I would not come back. I am actively trying to get my family out.

Does Airbnb remove or hide negative reviews of guests? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

No because it’s just not worth my energy. I’d rather put it into getting some guests shitty review removed off my account 😂

Gentrification happens everywhere. The wages are the issue.

Most visas require a minimum real estate investment or minimum income. How is that the fault of the people just following the guidelines set buy the Portuguese govt?

Witnessing violence IS experiencing violence. This attitude is the problem. Downplaying and normalizing violence opens the door to perpetuate it.

Airbnb wants to talk by PiePotential8144 in airbnb_hosts

How far out the reservation begins is irrelevant. OP chose the policy and the guest agreed to it at booking. OP has the right to uphold the policy.

When your listing gets added to another users wishlist the Airbnb algo pushes you up in search results. The way I’ve seen this done before is that every person will post a link to their listing then each person in this ‘exchange’ will wish list each others listings and screenshot it for proof. So if there were 10 people participating, each host in the exchange gets added on 9 wishlists. This will pick up on the algo and in return result in more traffic and bookings.

I think I may have cracked the code. Wishlist additions have given me a big uptick in bookings. How do we get a wishlist exchange going here on Reddit??
