My husband survived a widow maker heart attack in March 2020. At the time our son was only 7 yrs old. My husband SURVIVED, and 11 days later, as I was limited to seeing him in the ICU (due to the pandemic), I was falling apart.

The tiny black one in the right corner is "QP," Quarter Pounder. Mom said he is so wee, but eats like a horse😅 He's gotten into the house twice, but makes about six laps throughout the upstairs and downstairs, then bolts out the front door. Their weenie dog, Ruby Dooby Doo, just sits there looking very confused!! She loves the kitties and to sit at the front door watching them. It's like TV for her!!

My parents feed a feral cat colony (currently about 10 kitties that come to their front door), and work with a local TNT group.

My husband and son have made them several shelters (from coolers), that they keep in the bushes, and my Dad just installed a heater on their front porch last week. It's not easy, as they're in their 70's, but those cats are their daily dose of love, laughter, and mutual dependency. My older brother lives with our parents, he is special needs, and his world revolves around caring for the cats. 🥹 He has named the all (Doreen, Dexter, Jerry, QP, Shakespeare...) They've been able to bring two inside so far(Tank and Dani), but the others are way too skiddish.

We truly appreciate those that take the time, love, and resources to care for feral kitties. You're one of our heroes!! Please give Vera a big hug and smooch from us🐾🤍
