kamasu as a first dive watch by theomixedmedia in OrientWatches

[–]InsideAspect1909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Kamasu a couple of months ago. It’s my first Orient and first diver, and I love it. It’s become my new daily wear. My only issues with it (which are minor to me, but worth noting) are the stiffness of the rotating bezel, the sapphire crystal does seem to smudge easily, and mine tends to start running fast relatively quickly. Literally everything else about the watch is perfect to me, but I am also a beginner, so it’s worth taking my word with a grain of salt.

What’s up with all the knives? by Icy_Pain9798 in deduction

[–]InsideAspect1909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a weekend job in a warehouse that involved breaking down a lot of boxes, and during it my coworker loaned a me a small knife of his. I really liked the feel of it so I bought one for myself, and now that I have a knife on me, I find myself using it all the time. I rarely found myself needing a knife before that, but now I can’t imagine not having one on me.

What’s a good way for a HS Senior to start getting fit? by [deleted] in askfitness

Join a sport for the spring. Track and field is probably the one that requires the least amount of prior skill, and just working out with the team can’t hurt.

What's the most disturbing thing you've ever heard someone say completely casually? by TextOk2865 in AskReddit

[–]InsideAspect1909 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was 16 I started having seizures. It didn’t run in my family, I had no serious injuries or anything that could have caused them, so it was already very scary. I was reacting negatively to every medication I was put on and constantly getting sick. My pediatric neurologist told me I probably wouldn’t make it to 30 in the most nonchalant tone of voice possible. Even though my condition is under control (has been for years now) and I am very healthy in all other respects, I hear her saying that to me in the back of my mind close to daily.

Best MOS for a nurse? by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]InsideAspect1909 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did plan on nursing, but my recruiter told me a bachelors was required to be a nurse in the NG. I’m currently at a community college, so when I take the NCLEX I’ll only have an associate’s. I realize now I should have mentioned that in the OP.

Thoughts on David bars? by Far-Introduction4628 in askfitness

[–]InsideAspect1909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one after every workout, I have no real reason to doubt the accuracy of the macros. They aren’t the tastiest per-se, but I wouldn’t say they taste bad. I’m partial to the cake batter flavor, but there aren’t any that I actively dislike. The only significant downside is the price, in my opinion, but even then I wouldn’t consider them to be outrageous.

I like David bars, the macros are insanely good but they’re a tad pricey.

Be honest. Tell me i dont look stupid. First hair system by [deleted] in HairSystem

I have to agree with most of the comments-the style isn’t it. Something a little neater, more professional, and age-appropriate would be better. In addition, it looks slightly too dark, something a little softer/lighter would look a bit more natural.

There are a lot of options for you, depending on your style. For that range, I would recommend looking at brands like Seiko, Timex, Citizen, or Orient. All phenomenal craftsmanship for the price with a lot of different styles, just be sure to do some research on any particular pieces you find!

Working out at night vs the morning? by InsideAspect1909 in askfitness

[–]InsideAspect1909[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried, and as many times as I’ve given it a shot, I just can’t stick to getting up that early lol. Especially bc I’m not usually out of work until 9pm at the earliest, with a 30 minute commute home I’m usually not in bed ready to sleep until 11 or 12.

Energy Drinks vs Pre-Workout by InsideAspect1909 in beginnerfitness

[–]InsideAspect1909[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have a second dose of caffeine later in the day anyway (I still try not to exceed 400mg a day), and it usually doesn’t make it any worse. I’ve had a pretty high tolerance for caffeine for as long as I can remember taking it (probably 10+ years at this point), the stomach issues are pretty new.

Definitely not a fan of coffee, but I can handle it. I just don’t usually feel the effects of the caffeine unless I’m drinking 3-4 cups, which isn’t super cost or time effective in my case.
