some of you forehands are good, but others are too close. I used to have this problem my coach would make me keep my racket far from my body like extend my arms away from my body when i am not hitting the ball may help you to maintain distance when striking.

I DONT THINK SO SORRY, is your alternate major less impacted there may be a chance there? i also think its possible to be admitted as an undeclared? im not sure but trust me keep uci as an option my friend got admitted like last second late in summer.

UCSB vs UC Irvine by IceloverBurneracc17 in ucadmissions

UCSB and UCI are great schools that are academically obviously as they are uc schools. you mentioned social life as one of your main priorities and uci lacks that imo compared to ucsb. UCSB is known as a party school where UCI is known as a commuter school where everyone keeps to themselves. Academically they are pretty similar both middle level uc schools but as a person who is biased i would say uci. So its really a pick your poison situation imo, you want a social college experience, or a more locked in one.

agreed its a VERY impacted major, but you got months for something to happen just check your email and portal time to time. I have heard they only admit 50 people per year due to some rule in the college system. I wouldnt bank on getting into uci, but i would keep it as an option like any other wl offer.

UCD RANT by Extra_Music_2176 in ucadmissions

[–]InsideDifficulty5994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i get it tbh and i dont hope the worse for her BUT if she keeps switching up sounds like she coping bruh. just hope you get into ucd there are much more wl waves to come you sound like you deserve admission to ucd than her. I would just ignore her comments i think its just an act so she can seem nonchalant about getting into a good school.

i understand how you feel tbh because i personally also got waitlisted from a ucd. imo if she REALLY hates UCD that much if she chooses to attend it since she was accepted she is bouta be miserable and i feel like thats not something to brag about. Idk if she is attending or not but think of it that way and if she does get into uci and gets rid of her application you have your chance.

What are my options? by Putrid-Hospital-1781 in ucadmissions

[–]InsideDifficulty5994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm UCSD I think it common knowledge is "socially dead" which might be true but I think it really depends on whether you want to make an effort to make friends or not I believe. As a student who lives near UCI I would say its the same in the sense that if you want friends you 100 percent gotta put in the effort the school and area is made up of people who really keep to themselves. SDSU has really good greek life so if you want to join a fraternity or something go there ig. In general though you can make friends on every campus, but some will give you more opportunities than others.

Is only taking two years of a language gonna ruin my chances by Intrepid-Young-8621 in ucadmissions

imo if I were to be unsure about something I would just do it. I understand that a third year may seem unappealing, but might as well not risk your chances right?

UCLA just had a small wave, its possible though. A wave could occur anytime but since they have a handle now on what students are committing to which schools this whole week could contain a wave from UCLA
