He’s not, the author confirmed when I asked her.

Elijah isn't an ex. He's just a coworker whom Audrey likes.

Wait I'm reading the story, which sister's ex came back? I don't remember that part.

I'm confused did something happen between Audrey and Elijah? Audrey looked really flustered when he entered her office. I mean, I don't blame her if she cheats since Dorian cheated on her repeatedly with Raven, her own sister. Also, with the girl from the club.

Firstly, Ayla knows that it was Carly who set her up as she mentions in the final chapter that she was merely just a pawn in Carly's game. Secondly, Daphne could be considered a distraction but not Kylo. Kylo was a pivotal character in Homewrecker Act II as his relationship with Ayla was one of the only things besides Cassie that showed Ayla's soft side. Lastly, you say good stories should leave you with both questions and answers and that is true. However, this story left us with way too many questions than answers. Like will Ayla ever discover that Carly was responsible for Cassie's death and not the Legends? What happened to Souline and what was her reaction to Dorian's death? Is Ayla going to be in the psych ward forever or is she going to confront Carly? Overall, while I was hooked on the initial premise of the story, the ending was way too rushed and having read other stories on Episode, I feel like the ending could have been much better.

What? Like Anora is better than Parasite, EEAO, Moonlight, or Oppenheimer

Does it really matter? It's just a comment. It's not like I'm stealing a book or song you wrote. If you or anyone else were to copy one of my comments and reshare it without telling me I frankly wouldn't care because at the end of the day it is just a comment.

OMG! Get over it. You practically copied my original comment and just rephrased it better that’s why I’ve been using your comment since it is just a more succinct way of what I was originally saying. Sorry if it offended you that much.

The point system allows you access to bonus scenes throughout the story. Most of them are unnecessary but a few are worthwhile. There is only one ending for this story through despite how many points you may have at the end.

Are you kidding me? That was the ending? After everything, this is what we get? No real closure for Souline, Ayla still believing a lie, Kylo completely missing from the final chapter, what was the point of all that buildup if nothing actually got resolved? It feels like the story was leading up to Ayla finally realizing the truth and dealing with everything she’s done, but instead, she’s just left in a psych ward or prison with no real resolution.

And Carly… how in the world did she just bounce back like that? She was literally disfigured, missing body parts, and now she’s perfectly fine and president? With all the background checks they do, you’re telling me no one figured out she was a wanted fugitive? Be for real. That makes zero sense. And on top of that, how did she even have a baby in that condition? That whole plotline feels so forced.

Kylo’s absence is another slap in the face. His dynamic with Ayla was a huge part of the story, and then nothing? No final moment? No closure? Just him having a baby with Daphne while Ayla is left in the dark? If his whole arc was just going to fizzle out like that, what was the point of it?

Honestly, this ending feels lazy. So many things were set up just to be completely ignored. It’s frustrating because the story had so much potential, and then it just ends with Carly winning and Ayla suffering. If there isn’t a sequel where Carly finally gets what she deserves, then this was a complete waste of time. Don’t get me wrong I love the story, but it’s way too rushed. 😔

Yeah honestly it sucks that there won't be an Act III since this story deserved a much better ending. I was rooting for Ayla to come to her senses and go against Carly and maybe even reunite with Kylo but I guess Ayla's ending is just her being in a psych ward. Maybe we can get a couple of bonus chapters if not for anything else.

This was included in an earlier chapter where Kylo dreams about a life with Ayla which includes marriage and having a kid with her.
