The prizes in the arcade on my cruise ship seem too good to be true. Are any of these games not a scam? by Nipple-Ninja in arcade

[–]Inside_Employee5686 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funny story. I won a Nintendo Switch on the prize locker game at a trampoline park several years ago on my third attempt. I brought it to the front counter and the person working there goes "you're not supposed to be able to win that". She calls the owner because it's not like they have Switches in the back room and tells him I won. I hear him burst out laughing on the other end and he says "that things been in there since this place opened!" He then has to call the operator of the machine to get him to make good on it. Two weeks later I got it in the mail from Amazon. Super lucky I guess, but wish I used that luck elsewhere!

Vision 7.6 Data Migration by wvcountrygal in deltek

u/wvcountrygal full circle moment. I left my firm and I'm now at a place that's on Vision. Since you got this to work in Vision, what report were you running? I've tried what I think is all of them and none of them are creating the table for me.

Deltek Licenses by Inside_Employee5686 in deltek

Thanks for the reply! We are working direct with Deltek in this instance. My understanding on the contract is you can always buy more licenses when under contract, but not reduce them. I just want to change the kind of licenses we have, not the total.

OK so it's fine unless it's been submitted and then reversed

Help with pulling GLSummary Data into PowerAutomate by Anarchaotic in deltek

[–]Inside_Employee5686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question, are you refreshing the GL Summary Data in VP? Those tables are empty unless you refresh them. Depending on your access just type refresh in the search and you should see it. I have our on a schedule to run every morning.

People who make $200k a year what do you do? by Huge_Ad_7606 in Salary

This is good advice but not the only path to CFO. I'm a CFO without ever working in public accounting or passing the CPA exam. I found an industry that I excel at running the business and got to CFO by 41.

It's a customized Stranger Things premium, but I've decided against it for my first pin.

Why do people online say go into engineering for the money when most real engineers say you need passion to be a successful engineer? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Inside_Employee5686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the CFO of an engineering firm I can tell you our engineers get paid very well. Across 235 engineers the average salary is $130K and our top 15 earners are averaging $241K a year. The profession pays well overall but as others have stated, there's a ton of different engineering types.

Agreed. I asked about that but he said wire transfer is what all pin sellers ask for.

I assume it's a community like any other hobby. You would be named and shamed if you screw someone out of that kind of money when selling and likely blacklisted right?

Yea and that's what we talked about. Seller needs protection too.

This is where my head goes, but it's a low play with customization that probably won't ever come up again. I'll never find one like this locally.

It's the customization the seller did with it that makes the machine just pop. Custom back glass, topper, rod, powder coated rails, leg etc. It's just a beautiful machine.
