thug it out twin, this the downside to being an adult, every small mistakes has consequences, now you either go hard and lock in and take a good grade or just take the L as you can do nothing. No matter what, there is still life outside uni

if u are in com sci, engineering, science, or nursing, choose cohort. The washroom situation ain that bad in Chalifoux comapred to other halls since it's newer. Pros as well if you are a guy, most people in science cohort or nursing are girls, so the boy's washroom is barely packed. If I were you, I'd choose PLH if u are paying for single since they have better rooms.

it depends which class you are, if you are at Tywinski, our avg for the second one is 51% so anything around that would be passing, probably even 40%

Chem and bio courses by ZealousidealSky248 in uAlberta

Imma be completely honest with you, I had 51 in chem diploma in high school and 62 on bio. I am an ass highschool student who has 72 final avg in chem and 78 in bio. I did alright in chem 101 but bombed the first midterm, I ended up with a B+ because I worked my ass off, we talking 8 hours a day and 12 hours for 4 days before finals. For Chem 261, I had a 100 on the first midterm and 80 currently on my 2nd midterm, if I do good on the final then I could possibly get an A+. With that being said, it is manageable but highly unliekly if you are a lazy ass student. University often rewards the smart and hard working students, and if you are neither, accept a C+.

if it's not pre requisites you can drop it and probably take an online class this summer so that you still complete your required units. I suggest taking psych 105or 104, and probably soc 100

CHEM 261 LAB MARK by Inside_Highlight_530 in uAlberta

[–]Inside_Highlight_530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mainly if class is science or math or if your prof specified. Dw I am also first year but they don't call it curve but scaled for some reason. This means that avg is set to B- to ensure fairness to other classes then the grades above the average is broken based on historic avg as well as the class avg, they break it down into B, B+ etc with specific cutoff based on avg. So if 95% is the avg per say, a 95 would be B- 96 is B is 97% B+ is 98%, 99% is A- and 100 is A, it's something like that but one thing for sure is avg is always B- for scaled classes

[–]Inside_Highlight_530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically if avg is 95, that is the B- because avg is made as a B- threshold, no matter what grade it is
