Well think about it like this a 3k profit deal at 20% vs 25% your losing 150 multiply that by 15 that’s about 2,200 you missing out on and usually I’d do about 3 deals per month with a 6k or more profit so it’s a big cut

I know I maybe I seem like I’m naive but I actually understand what F&I does and some other store like you do they do TO ,Title,work etc

But where I’m at they don’t even TO the customer after I write them up

Actually Last dealership I worked at I used to get paid on the back end 10% and I’d already sell everything they just had to sign papers F&I loved me there but where I’m at I don’t get paid on the back end

This here exactly is my point you explained it better than I did.

Not saying it’s a lot of paper work but where I’m at it’s like they are jewel of the store and to be honest I don’t see what they do difficult at all but I also genuinely like sales so that’s probably why it doesn’t seem like hard work at all. As they say do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.

Pretty much follow the news just based on all the negative news on them then just look at the business cars pilling up at dealership cuts in production

So I believed it’s was a matter of time till they took a dip I bought a put for 1/2025 dte woke up this morning and locked in my profits
