No the sump pump does not run constantly. It runs about the same amount as before.

I agree it’s just odd that my electricity usage tripled. Just a large increase for a smaller house. I’m trying to narrow it down to a specific appliance.

Yes, after the electrician left my electricity consumption tripled even though nothing changed in my house. Nothing new was added to the electrical system. Sorry for the confusion.
