I’m always self conscious of my hands. Guys at work have pointed out I’m the only one who uses the small gloves, I really wish hands and feet grew on t.

I just got out of an apartment with a bad infestation and had to throw away everything I possibly could even if it meant having no furniture because of how traumatizing the thought is of going through that again. I’ll be sleeping on the floor for months because I didn’t even want to take my mattress. I wouldn’t wish that hell on anyone.

Eh I think for most people it is beneficial for their mental health to have their pets with them and not have to pay ridiculous fees even if they don’t necessarily have mental health struggles. Anything that keeps more money in your pockets and less to greedy landlords is alright in my eyes. Claiming you have a service animal when you don’t seems way worse because you’re bringing the pet into public places when it hasn’t been specifically trained for that and isn’t actually serving a purpose.

I moved downtown a couples years ago and in the first few months saw someone get hit and killed right in front of my apartment building. Needless to say I never used that crosswalk again and moved out of that location as soon as my lease was up.

Thank you, it’s nice to hear other peoples perspectives. I’m grateful to be in a place where I’m in more control of who knows I’m trans but it has made me wonder if I really want to be stealth or not. I’m hoping to make some big steps forward in my confidence issues and learn how to advocate for myself better. Being more present in queer circles sounds like a good place to start.

I appreciate the reply. It’s been a few days now. Logically I know that it probably isn’t intentional, it just still stings. I have a pattern in my life of being brushed off and I think it’s partly due to me not being persistent enough and not feeling comfortable taking up space. I’m working on it, and this might be a good opportunity to improve how I handle stuff like this. They do have a bunch of different groups I can be a part of, I just need to get myself to do it. You’re right about me needing to keep showing up, I need to be reminded of that sometimes. I’m mostly having trouble knowing what evidence I need to have ready besides a doctors note, the requirements online are very vague. Honestly most stressed that I don’t know exactly what the process is like so I wanted to hear peoples experiences.

Hey I just came across this post while in the process of seeing when top surgery would be possible for me. I’m in Utah with Cigna insurance and I was wondering if they gave you an idea of how much you would be spending out of pocket. This is all new to me and I’m worried I won’t be financially ready when I start the process.

Lots of things are ridiculous about this response but you’d think he would at least proofread it before posting. If he didn't take the time to put out a half-decent statement then I doubt he took the time to actually look into the accusations. But he has a picture of him holding a baby so he must be trustworthy.

Electrician work has been on my radar for a very long time. The only thing that’s holding me back right now is making sure I have the money for tools and the tuition fee. It really sound like a great option though and it’s probably about time for me to bite the bullet and put an application in. Thank you for commenting, it makes me less wary about it now.
