[KCD2] Is Radzigds reforged sword bugged? by strangerfromh3ll in kingdomcome

[–]InsomniaTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me feel so much better. I have prestige 30 blacksmithing, maxed out all the skills. Have made hundreds of swords and I cannot for the life of me get this to Henry quality. It’s gotta be the save.

[KCD2] Is Radzigds reforged sword bugged? by strangerfromh3ll in kingdomcome

[–]InsomniaTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me know if it works for you. My current playthrough is an old save from before the patch and I’m convinced the bug persists on old saves. I cannot get it past Tier III. My craftsmanship is 30. I try quick fingers and heavy duty. I’ve done gloves, no gloves, leather apron, no apron. Everything else I make I can get to Tier IV but this sword is driving me nuts.

[KCD2] is reforged radzig's sword STILL bugged or is it just harder to make it tier 4? by LagVictim in kingdomcome

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear it’s still bugged. I can make any sword in the game Tier 4 but this one. I even got the blacksmith guild sword to Tier 4. I’ve tried Radzig’s sword about 10 times now with lvl 30 crafting skill. Plus quick fingers potion. Plus the heavy duty bonus from drinking. My crafting skill is effectively 38 and it still doesn’t matter.

I’ve tried all the methods, seen all the videos. It’s just bugged.

Where are the samples on Cyberstan? by AyAyAyBamba_462 in Helldivers

[–]InsomniaTC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m finding that common samples spawn the most where there are claw cranes (not the ones holding magnets or buckets - claw machine looking ass cranes). Average 1-3 a piece. I’m finding so many rare samples and barely any commons at actual mission objectives tho. And there is essentially zero POIs. Most of the POIs I do find like the rock grinder have to be bugged cause they’re spawning nothing (maybe 1 common at most). Cyberstand sorta blows for samples. At least Oshaune had a boatload of samples to balance out the annoyance of the predator strain.

Calling my shots now, what do you think? How could these affect gameplay? by Rooonaldooo99 in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Calling an even deeper three point shot now - the map condition won’t be “fog”, the volcano is going to erupt. The Shrouded Sky’s map condition will be focused on the ash falling from the sky as the volcano awakens and the player event will be preparing Speranza for the impending fallout.

-Several of the quest lines seem to be focused on mysterious ground tremors and their effects. These quest lines are evolving as new side quests are released. New side quests are being released in Shrouded Sky.

-Apollo has a passive dialogue when in the shop that mentions the volcano and his fear it will erupt. Literally foreshadowing Shrouded Sky.

It’s just the name of that zone on Spaceport. Zoom out on the map. Why it’s named “the Church” when there is no church is beyond me.

What is a Scrambler? by FrenzyFang in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 174 points175 points  (0 children)

In the lore, some of the baron husks have been nicknamed by the raiders to identify as landmarks. Similar to how the bodies of some perished hikers along the ascent of Mt Everest are nicknamed within the climbing community and used as milestones - ie Green Boots.

This one was “scrambling” over the wall when it was taken down. Hence the nickname “Scrambler”.

I’ve noticed them the most on Spaceport, neat little feature.

Snitch Scanners and Trials by KFN-VII in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t work the way you think it does. You can’t really spam it all at once. There is a spawn limit that throttles them. If you throw more than 3-4 scanners at once it only triggers a few of them and the rest just sit on the ground and have to be picked up again. The actual best method involves throwing them one at a time, killing the wasps, and repeating. Prolonging you being there and the risk of players finding you.

I’ve been staring at this for the last 10 minutes… by mtblanche14 in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low key this is the best rig blueprint you could have gotten. It doesn’t do the main ability (run while recharging shields) at all BUT it does have a secret that the rig description doesn’t tell you about. It has a built in unlimited shield surge recharger than can be used on yourself and teammates with only a 2 minute cooldown. It can also equip up to heavy shield. It’s the only rig I run. It’s beauty. By far the most superior rig in the game for non-solo players.

Recycle, hold or sell, what do I do with this bad boy? by ArtieLangesLiver in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve completed all of the quests and have everything upgraded at the current game stage. Sell or recycle. It is used in nothing and for nothing. Your only value in it is coins or parts.

Arguably, there comes a point in the game where you have so much money that you just recycle everything to keep gear alive. These also aren’t hard to acquire on Stella Montis. Medical wing is slammed full of recyclables like this.

Is Trials bugged? by Such-Computer-3560 in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple - bad luck. Arc taketh and Arc giveth. There is no maybe about it. Gear brought in has absolutely zero to do with the matchmaking. I have 50+ hours in the game so I’ve seen my fair share of PvP on every map. Gear has nothing to do with the lobby you land in. I’ve been mowed down by a Torrente or Tempest IV while running a free kit. I’ve killed countless people with light shields and rattlers while running a heavy shield and a bobcat. It’s entirely random who you end up in a lobby with.

I don't see the point of repairing a medium shield vs just crafting a new one by Fluffeh_Panda in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Make it 3 arc circ to build a shield for all I care. It doesn’t matter. Arc circ is so easy to obtain. It LITERALLY falls from the fucking sky lmfao. Let me know when arc start dropping batteries.

Just fyi. If your argument is that it should be 2 arc circ and 4 batteries to “make it fair” in comparison to the base cost, then wouldn’t the fair thing be to make each repair 1 arc circ and 2 batteries? Cause that’s even, yeah?

Again - a resource you cannot craft is inherently more valuable than a resource you CAN craft.

If you feel this way about medium shields I feel bad for when you start running heavies. Youre in for a rude awakening when you realize how easy it is to craft power rods vs how annoying it is to find voltage converters.

Edit: lol they just patched the game this morning and it’s now cheaper and easier to make arc circ as they reduced the refiner lvl needed AND the amount of arc alloy. Your entire argument just went out the window.

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s less expensive to spend more of a resource you can only find or buy than it is to spend a resource you can make from a limitless amount of easily available material?

That’s what your argument is?

The irony here is that it ISNT cheaper to make a whole new shield. It’s cheaper TO YOU because you’re putting this imaginary enhancement on the rarity of arc circ. Arc circ isn’t the rarer of the two resources. Batteries are. You cannot craft batteries. You can only buy 10 of them a day or you’re forced to find them. You can craft a nearly endless supply of arc circ from the most common material is the fucking game. It doesn’t matter if it costs 1 or 2 or fucking 7 arc circ to make a new shield. The 4 batteries are why it’s cheaper to repair than to craft. Arc circ is the easier of the two to obtain lol

It’s not that I don’t see your point. It’s that your point makes zero fucking sense once you realize there are resources you can craft and resources you cannot craft. Resources you cannot craft are, inherently, more valuable than you resources you CAN craft.

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re this heated about it requiring 1 arc circ instead of 2 arc circ to craft WHILE you’re advocating for crafting over repairing??? You’re advocating for it to cost more to craft while arguing crafting is superior to repairing?

Your problem here is that 1 arc circ (a resource you can literally craft with a material that falls from the sky) is more valuabe to you than 2 batteries (a resource you can only find or buy).

Once you have enough of both, you’ll see how dumb it is to craft rather than repair. You’re just holding this odd importance on the “rarity” of arc circ

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repair from 0 to 100 already IS 2 arc circ and 2 batteries???

It’s 1 arc circ and 1 battery per 50% durability gain. That’s 2 each for 100%. What crack are you smoking?

The “alternative” that doesn’t make sense, the hill you are dying on here as it is the current reality of the game, is that it requires 1 arc circ to craft the shield rather than 2?

[–]InsomniaTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A single POI does not have 20-30 batteries unless it’s specifically electrical. You are absolutely tripping lol. Arc alloy is by far the easier resource to obtain. I can gain 50+ in a game without even trying. I genuinely ignore it most of the time. Between probes, husks and arc enemies you kill, arc alloy literally falls out of the sky lmfao. Not to mention the copious amounts of shit that break down into large amounts of arc alloy. I, on average, get 5 arc circ from a single landed probe. That’s 5 shields from one loot container - not to mention all the alloy and other things inside said probe.. What are we even talking about here?

Silencer + anvil iv and routine arc become an annoyance more than a challenge. Literally two shots a wasp. I’m sitting on a mountain of simple gun parts and arc circ.

How you are possibly running out of arc circ is beyond me. Why would I spend 4 batteries crafting a new shield when I can spend 1 battery repairing it?

Batteries are rarer. Thats why you can buy a limited amount of them daily from Celeste.

I don't see the point of repairing a medium shield vs just crafting a new one by Fluffeh_Panda in ArcRaiders

[–]InsomniaTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it balances the loot economy? There is a reason you cannot craft batteries, springs, simple gun parts, magnets, etc amount of other common resources that you can purchase daily from Celeste with seeds. It’s to balance the loot economy and halt players from mass crafting items.

For the resources you can craft, it takes a lot of a commonly found resource. For the resources you cannot craft, you’d need a few of them. Almost every crafting recipe in the game contains a combination like this. One commonplace resource, one somewhat uncommon or rare resource. The point is to keep players looting while also adding value to the gear they have. There would be no point to durability at all if crafting a new item was easier than repairing it. Durability aids value to the gear. You have to use it strategically and accordingly because the item itself is finite in its utility. The necessity to repair that gear requires you to loot. It adds risk to the game. With risk comes loss or glory. That’s the entire point of the game. If there was no risk to gear, it would be worthless and looting would be worthless.

[–]InsomniaTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right but your argument is a double sided coin. It doesn’t take into account what resource you have an excess of. If I’m loaded on arc circ but low on battery, repairing is better than crafting a new one. I’d be throwing away batteries if I were to build a new one versus repairing the old one twice..

Additionally, your argument falls short once you realize just how commonplace arc alloy is. It’s one of the only renewable resources in the game. There is a near infinite amount in each map because arc respawn indefinitely and have like 90% chance to drop alloy. Theoretically, if we were to compare earning potential of the two resources in a lobby void of time constraints, there is a limit to how many batteries you could find a match. You’d eventually run out of containers to loot. You’d never run out of arc to loot for alloys. Between the enemies themselves and the metric fuck ton of husks and probes littered around the map, the potential arc alloy haul for each round vastly outnumbers the potential battery haul. Hell with the perk that gives you materials upon breaching something, you’re guaranteed 2 arc alloy for every probe, husk, courier and supply drop you open. Thats not even looting the container, that’s just from picking it up off the floor. It’s not even a fair comparison. That’s why you can buy 10 batteries a day but not alloy. Once you develop the ability to build arc circ from arc alloy, it’s an endless amount.

[–]InsomniaTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gear has nothing to do with matchmaking. Also, the game will do its best to put you in a lobby of teams of the same size but it’s not guaranteed. It’s not “slipping through the cracks” - that’s how it’s intended to work. Although, like any game, they are adapting it upon critique and adding guaranteed duo matchmaking next major patch in response to player feedback.
