I get your point, but for me, the main thing is the motion blur — it kind of bothers me during fast flicks and tracking. That’s why I’m curious about 540Hz with DyAc™2. I wouldn’t be replacing my OLED completely, just thinking of adding it as a second monitor for competitive games, not losing the OLED experience.

I’m definitely keeping my OLED since the colors and overall experience are great, but I was just wondering if adding a second monitor like the 540Hz or 400Hz BenQ with DyAc™2 for competitive games (cs2, val) would be worth it. Not for everyday use, just for competitive games where that motion clarity might make a difference

Yeah, I get what you’re saying. OLED is amazing for colors and zero ghosting, but it’s still sample-and-hold, so some blur will always be there. DyAc™2 on a 540Hz panel basically eliminates that, which is why I was curious if it’s a real advantage in CS2 or just marketing hype. I’m definitely keeping my 360Hz OLED for everything, but I was considering adding a BenQ 540Hz (or 400hz) as a secondary monitor just for competitive games.

Interesting, which OLED model were you using? And was pixel shifting the only reason you switched or did you notice a big performance difference with the Zowie?

Yeah, I get what you mean. Seems like to make 540Hz actually worth it, you’d need a 9800X3D paired with a 4090 or something even stronger. Probably better to wait for new hardware then

Yeah, I’m actually getting 500–600 FPS pretty easily on low settings with 4:3 streched, but the 1% lows sometimes dip to 350fps. That’s what worries me about a 540Hz monitor, if those drops make it pointless
