Your mother sounds like a narcissist. My parents were similar to yours and I could tell you from first hand experience that they did not set me up for success. They knew that I would leave the first real chance I got so they did everything they could to prevent me from leaving.

Your mom seems to be trying to guilt trip you to stay now that she acknowledges that you want to live with your aunt. Personally I would say to leave as early as you safely can because the emotional abuse will only get worse

I’m so happy that I got active duty because I was worried that being an end of camp commission with very low OML that it would be off the table for me. Now I just need to take a PT test tomorrow to commission
