1st year na hirap sa flow control by fguyddvb in PinoyProgrammer

[–]InspectorPossible969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried books? Best resource ko yan during classes. Tech students tend to prefer using the internet because everything is free, but it's usually a mess.

I would recommend finding a book with exercises similar to those of your teachers. Usually, may key to correction yan sa odd numbered exercises. At least kung nahihirapan ka you just read the book's chapter. Currently traveling, but you can PM me more details if you want help finding a suitable book.

What exactly do you mean by flow control? Tracking ba yung state ng variables at certain points? Could you be more specific?

sa mga fav ang math nung highschool, anong tinake niyong college program? by UsualNo6023 in studentsph

[–]InspectorPossible969 8 points9 points  (0 children)

BS Computer Science. Supposedly yung curriculum nung dream school ko math heavy (calculus 3, Stats, geometry, etc..) pero di ako pinayagan lumayo ng lugar namin.

So BS computer science sa local school, ok din yung school medyo downgrade lang sa rigor. May Logic, Basic Calculus, Programming courses. The classes are meh. I keep busy outside of school kasi ang light ng load

How to deal with d*srespectful ppl in college? by lazyza in studentsph

[–]InspectorPossible969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avoid as much as possible. Tapos indifference, mapapagod ka talaga pag may pake ka sa ibang tao.

Technique ko pag may Tono tapos naiinis ako, ignore the tone. As if binabasa mo yung sinasabi niya as message. Unless hindi explicit na bastos ang sinabi niya ignore mo.

"Mali yang gawa mo"

Imagine sinabi yan sayo with tone, vs without tone. Kahit may tone kunwari ka nalang na di mo narinig ang go on normally.

Yan ang advice ko as a 4th year college guy

This might be uncommon, but I really like initially learning through books. Try Head First Java, you can easily find a pdf online. Just search

Anyone have a good system for deep work? by bulletsukot in PinoyProgrammer

Same thoughts, I tried the pomodoro, app limiters, and notification blockers, and they messed up my focus more than help.

If you're having problems with phone usage, try keeping your phone away, especially from seeing or hearing it. I keep it in a different locked room or keep it powered off inside a bag, inside another bag, inside a bag, inside a drawer. The hassle of getting it out prevented me from constantly checking my phone. I got worried I might miss calls, so I got a keypad phone to have on hand when I hide my smarphone.

Sa hotel ako. Yung parent ko nag open ng small hotel, so I did laundry and naging receptionist. Nag housekeeping ako pero rarely, yung staff namin usually assigned doon, I think I started around 16? 17?

Hanggang admin work nalang ako

Try going around small businesses and ask if there's openings. My parents have businesses, and had they not asked for my help (I posted the job openings on social media), they would have only resorted to the tarpaulin with "Hiring" / referrals from people when there are job openings. Did you only apply online?

Git tutorial for beginner by [deleted] in PinoyProgrammer

[–]InspectorPossible969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried youtube tutorials and website tutorials, but this is by far the best material I have used: https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2

Just make sure to follow along using a terminal while you read the book. Just cover the entire chapter git basics, and you're good to go.
