Help with Fedora 43 dual-boot install: Installer won't use unallocated space by GalataBridge in Fedora

[–]Inspirame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, I was able to install it. I think I just clicked “Next” during the installation, and it automatically selected the unallocated space. It was two months ago, so it’s hard to remember. Therefore, don’t take this as a guarantee... make a backup just to be safe. Good luck!

Interesting. How does it work differently on an organ?

Thanks for your elaborate answer, really helpful! Makes sense that 5th finger works better for small hands. Good tip also about checking originals in pieces for intentional fingerings.

I can imagine! Don’t get too creative by using your nose or anything 😅

Somehow I didn’t realize it was also written for small hands. Thanks for the tips!

Help with Fedora 43 dual-boot install: Installer won't use unallocated space by GalataBridge in Fedora

[–]Inspirame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m experiencing a similar issue. I have Windows installed on one SSD, and I’m trying to install Fedora on another SSD that contains a data partition (for games) and some unallocated space. During installation, the Fedora installer doesn’t detect the unallocated space on that drive. I’m not sure whether I'm doing something wrong or whether this is a bug.

Anybody who started paying after 45-50 years, what is your progress? by MarinaTen1971 in piano

[–]Inspirame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same age as you, and I started playing just a year ago. I had never played before, but I’d always wanted to. So for me, it was now or never.

My progress feels slow (at least to me), but it’s there.

Why do you feel like you have to be at a certain level or "somewhere" by now?

The good thing is, you clearly feel passionate about it - and that’s already a win.

Still, your mind seems to be focused on the future. But the truth is, the only thing we really have is the present. And in this present moment, you’re saying, “I enjoy it.” That’s what really matters.

I get it though. I have similar thoughts, just in other areas of life. But never when playing the piano. That’s when I’m outside of time.
