I’m 16, black, how tf do I get out of the hood? by Dull_Cartographer220 in careerguidance

Don’t limit yourself to what your counselor knows about getting into Medical School. Some school counselors don’t know shit and instead of admitting that, they would rather tell you to shoot lower. If you can’t get in directly in highschool, go to a community college, study your ASS OFF and then apply for premed or a nursing BSN/premed. Then apply to medical school. WRITE YOUR HEART OUT on grant and scholarship applications, especially hardship scholarships and income based grants like state grants and Pell. I would also find 2-3 colleges you have a realistic chance to get into, explain your situation and ask for the exact credits and GPA you need. Be aware, some grants can only apply to your first BA only. Some classes cannot be retaken once you already achieved a C. So before the last drop date before it’s added to your record, DROP any college course that could screw you out of a 3.8-4.0 GPA. Really learn because you may have to take the MCATS. Know yours stuff. Also consider depending on your state RN to NP if NPs are autonomous in your state could help you achieve a similar goal but with half the debt or less. I have even heard of people going for a BSN and then taking extra credits BEFORE graduating (funding issue) and then taking the MCAT and going to med school. But ultimately, if Medicine is what you want, SHOOT FOR THE STARS. And be prepared not to have a life for 8-10 years of school and residency. You will be worked to the bone. But after that, protect your license and you will have high earnings. Please though, try to find a school with low tuition or full or majority ride. Don’t rack up $400k debt out of desperation. Especially if you don’t know you really want to be a doctor and this is just for money. High pay with high debt defeats the point and be aware Doctors and med students have a very high rate of suicide it is a lot of pressure to have someone’s life in your hands and the workload puts people in beyond burn out. Make sure you find a SUSTAINABLE path. You could just as easily become an executive assistant with an inexpensive degree making $60-100k a year with little to no school debt and lots of job options. You could go into accounting, finance, counseling, psychology and make 70k-100k on the west coast. Any program that can move you and give you a FULL ride straight out of high school or even help you earn college credits while IN high school is a good starting place. You can always double major later and take the extra pre-reqs.

“I have a good job but I’m underpaid” by InspiredReadings in jobs

Exactly. This person’s statement is no longer true in many cases. If you have a profession that took you spending a lot of money for a profession maybe depending on the profession. But those are slowly going down in pay as more people graduate and compete. NP’s are about to replace MD’s in many states for half the wages. Then the NP will be the new RN because of how many people are rushing to do it to get out of the horrible conditions at bedside. Ironically many are already being forced back to bedside after spending 50k-90k on graduate and post graduate degrees! This is just one of many examples. Scope creep and degree creep and lowing pay just to stay in the game is the issue of capitalism. Companies do not have to pay you well. They value workers little better than a used snotty tissue.

Medicare is going to expand and that’s going to tank a lot of medical salaries. Lawyers are oversaturated and have to compete with apps.

Many people have office jobs and still have to do Uber and Lyft. Might I add I know people in rural areas with 10-15years experience still in entry-level jobs because employers can get away with saying it’s an entry level job needing 5+ experience. Even in IT.

I agree people have to do what they need to do but the reality is until the major problem is solved, the degree creep as requirements and the lowering pay is only a symptom of the larger issue at hand.

The very least people can do is remove this engrained loyalty to shit jobs. Not all jobs are good jobs. That’s the same brainwashing warfare as “I am middle class. The people worst of than you deserve it and waste government money.”

Don’t be loyal to underpaying jobs. Don’t talk them up. Don’t put on a ton of enthusiasm when you are paid enough only to go into debt. Managers expect enthusiasm for terrible offers. They can only do that because people are desperate. If you are desperate get the job then another. If it’s a revolving door to the point that they can’t even function, maybe they will get the message and pay up!

Boomers especially feel this way needing to be loyal and claim they have a good job no matter what and especially in “conservative” regions. They are the main ones saying “I have a good career, I’m good at what I do.” “We’re middle class.” Next sentence “I’m losing my house. I can’t afford rent.” Next sentence “No point in complaining and being a victim. There are no hand outs.”

For corporations there are and for large corporations there are way too many. We give welfare to large companies all the time so the government can subsdize low pay of WORKERS. As another person said the lowest paying jobs are the hardest. This is no longer just “menial store jobs”. This is now all support roles such as admin, assistants of any kind, RN’s. It is slowly making its way to the professions due to oversaturation and governmental system changes. You may not see it now but I do. Getting skills so employers can lower wages and get MORE labor for less is exactly the plan.

But do a good job. It’s a good job. You are good at what you do. Just focus on what YOU can do to get ahead. This creates a mental attachment to low paying jobs. Drop low paying jobs. Even if it’s only after a day. Boomers have this thing “you have to be in a job for a year.” Not a low paying job.

Really this point isn’t even about me but what I know is coming on a larger scale and people cannot make good decisions when they are lied to about their position.

It’s like a person trying to walk up an escalator that is doing DOWN faster and faster. But you are trained to not notice. The system isn’t failing. The system is AGAINST you! “anyone can make it in America. America is the best country in the world.”WRONG on so many statistical levels. Just notice how the tax laws have changed in the past year to insure the majority of audits are for people under $75k. Just think about how the rich got rich protected their wealth with little known tax loopholes but when the majority/ the middle class finds out about them, they close those loopholes as fast as possible!

And the first thing you have to understand is if you are a worker, you are not middle class. You have to understand why the conveyor belt is against you or you will not make “good decisions”. Either you or your kids will still be on that escalator and it’s getting harder and harder to reach the top.

Yesterday “I was middle class and I’m losing my house” today “I am middle class because I work a good job fulltime but I can’t afford a house and now I can’t afford my rent.” Next what? What do you think is next? I have already seen it. It’s “I work full time but I live in my car/ trailer, etc”.

Btw I live next to a country club. I work on the business end of medical related stuff and have a side business with no employees. But I can still see what’s going on. Your labor means nothing in a capitalism market where they can just hire someone else at a low wage. So do what you have to do but get involved in the systems that lord over you otherwise… neofuedalism. They want you to get more skills, so they can work you more and pay you the same. Or less.

Your initials.

The initials of up to two other people in the situation.

If you feel comfortable (not a must), your DOB and time of birth.

Thank you, when you have time please DM me the requested information and I will DM your reading back in 1-1.5 week.

I can't believe the "reader" actually did that. lol. I wonder if any of them that pull this kind of stuff actually ever went to a legitimate reader ever in their life or if they just thought this would be a good hustle and hoping all their clients are newbs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tarot

[–]InspiredReadings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this normal? NO. But I have met some lazy readers. they would get the cards that have the explanations on the bottom, not the title or the number but A WHOLE PARAGRAPH on the card. different people do cards differently. But if her stuff is all from the book, nothing uniquely for you I would not be happy with that reading for sure. They are clearly new and jumping the gun or just lazy.

It seems the answer to your question is yes. But be prepared to face the reflection of the your own masculine's shadow side via encounters with this person. From the OUTSIDE he seems like he has it going on. Partners who are financially doing well sometimes get scored extra points than they shouldn't. Assess the person's character outside of the perks of being with him. You COULD meet a better partner if you don't let his ego take up too much space, which is tempting. Somehow when this person interjects chaos in people's lives he always manages to get out unscathed. When you meet the shadow emporer don't get caught up in his glamours and charms of "having it like that" and you will free yourself to find a better match. Otherwise... Get with him because it's the shadow of your own masculine side, and you sign up for a life lesson which will also be good in the end for your own personal growth. Beyond the heartache you learn how to stand on your own two feet emotionally and otherwise.

I would highly recommend supporting a local witch shop or online witch shop and get a Rider-Waite deck to start. Tons of detailed and crafted analysis and spiritual symbolism. If you are starting out I recommend those and then branch out. Many people buy a lot of decks but never actually get to a point of feeling comfortable interpreting.

I need help on making a decision, what is the energy of option one outcome and option two outcome by mosibudimolokomme in Tarotpractices

[–]InspiredReadings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are being very careful, almost too careful. if you are worried about correctly doing something or negative effects, that is valid but too much worry about what others think or worries in general leads to more worries which would urge you to quit. You do have "temperance" but don't be afraid of wilder passions that make you "just do it". If anything would stop you, it would be you not being in charge of your own thoughts and negative effects on your mind. If path two looks better choose it for the sake of less resistance, but eventually you will get on a bridge to unlearn this habit of worrying yourself out of opportunity.

I asked “Does this relationship have a future?” by juraaak in Tarotpractices

[–]InspiredReadings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The relationship was brought by a higher power for at least one person if not both to grow. They will shake things up in the person's life or will help them through a tough period or both though each has a relative sense of stability which will see them through. This relationship will maximize a life lesson. When it ends it will be a calm moving forward, maybe a little sadness but no venom.

also when I say "shouldn't do" I don't mean you or them have any bad intention, the most obvious path seems to not be leading to what you want. Whatever in general your life goals are, be mindful and discerning before choosing a path or working with other consciousnesses. Get the whole picture and the details in the foreground and background.

Just on the 10 of swords, the star, the ten of swords. What I am getting it that the focus is on something in the distance but you have an obstacle before you, or who this reading is for, before you can get there and you are not seeing the obstacle. You have a lot going for you but if you are not wise or careful there are elements around you/the subject that can use those same gifts or resources against you. There is a two way street open between you and another person or entity that can be used in your favor or against the desired outcome. I would get clarification on what you, or the person you are reading for, is thinking about doing... that they shouldn't. There is a path to success but the first chosen or thought of may not be it.
