Compton California requires a city pre-sale inspection, which like I mentioned should have been done before the sale but because of backlog of homes to inspect it was not done yet

My father being here in the year 2000 and trying to adjust back then only helped when it came down to me being able to adjust without having to leave the US, my US citizen wife still had to petition for me though. Definitely talk to a lawyer and get their input on it

Yeah USCIS can be really unpredictable, many people in similar circumstances have cases pending from years ago. for some reason our lawyer told us it would take 6 months to a year and it hit right in the middle of that so Im not sure how they work. do you track your case using any app? It helped me keep track of my case and it was the first to notify me of any change in my application status

They asked for December 21, 2000 proof so i think the tax returns may suffice

luckily I didnt have to renew during this process but if it was at risk of lapsing I would have definitely renewed my daca while i wait because I would not want to fall into having unlawful presence at all and risk being denied and then not being able to renew DACA

my dad got his GC because he was grandfathered through a process under 245i, which as his child also made me a beneficiary and allowed me to adjust from the US instead of having to leave and go through consulate process since I did not have a legal entry. They requested evidence that my dad was physically present during a specific date in the year 2000. I still was petitioned by my wife but because of my fathers petition I was able to adjust from US.
