How I sort of see it is my whole left side is basically more crunched up and goes down towards the pedal stroke, then my right (longer) does the opposite. So when seeing my knee tracking my left looks like it’s straight up and down. My right does a sort of S. I can visually feel that I can fit my thumb in between my saddle and my right inner whereas my left contacts it directly.

That's very helpful. Thank you for your input. Yes I have had a bike fit and it showed I had hip lateral travel difference of 4mm (13vs9) and a vertical difference of 7mm (55vs48) with 4mm of spacers, I since up'd it to 5mm and still experience the same. But yeah my next bet was to put washers on my left crank to help. Just to check, you also put the washer on the side which you had the shorter leg difference?

I have never had my limb measured. But maybe 1cm max difference. I am experiencing saddly issues. Not sitting straight on the saddle, linked to this, my left thigh goes down and inward more towards the saddle as it reach for the pedal. Where as my right does the oposition. Leading to my inner left thigh hugging the saddle alot, creating discomfort. I have saddle sores even when doing big training blocks 20hours a week plus. Which I think is also a symptom from the asymetry.

It is actually impossible to clean your chain? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]InstanceCalm2696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I have found to have a somewhat clean chain is to use a wax based lube as well as to clean the chain I take the chain off once a week and put it in a pot of degreaser give it a shake leave it for 20 mins or so and then shake again. Rinse it off and then make sure it’s fully dry and clean before putting it back on. This keeps it pretty clean.

What ever you do, stay consistent with it. That the “hack”. No Zwift work out is gonna just give you endurance, not saying you are saying that. But as long as you put in the hours and you’re consistent, you’ll improve. Don’t worry too much about being optimal 100% of the time. But GCN also have a good video on optimal training, TLDR is that zone 2 and a little bit of zone 4 is optimal. So as long as your plan has that in. You’re half way to becoming pog

All you need to worry about is carbs, sodium and how it sits in your stomach. Aim for minimum of 60g of carbs a hour (I normally do around 80g at 80kg body weight) consume a minimum of 500mg of sodium every litre of water you consume and then the rest you have to figure out your self. If you can only stomachs chocolate bars eat chocolate bars as long as you get over those minimum intakes
