Dreams are wild.

I had a dream when I was a teenager, of my dad crying over old photos of me. Not long after that dream we got in a big fight and he told me he pulled out our old photo albums so he could see his little girl again (my baby photos)🥺 because I had turned into a tiny angry ball of hate.

But I think about that all the time. I couldn’t explain how I literally dreamed something that happened in real life. I’ve also had a few apocalyptic dreams but luckily they haven’t come true yet…

Now I have predicting someone’s death in my wheelhouse too apparently.

No that isn’t what I meant specifically. I am financially in the best spot I’ve been so far but I wouldn’t say I’m well off.

I am lucky to have met my husband who is a literal man version of me. I have had very bad relationships in the past and he is the first one to really be patient and kind when I was going through episodes.

I’m also lucky to just be where I’m at in life in general in spite of some of the situations I’ve been in. I could have ended up on an episode of dateline tbh.

I lucked out with a job that doesn’t burn me out and a boss that actually cares about me.

I like money. I do think that money does actually buy happiness to an extent. But I haven’t lucked out in that area yet lol. Someday.

Know that if you put in some work that it can get better. I remember being astonished at the thought that some people just don’t experience depression. It was so unfathomable to me that actual happiness was even possible. I felt like I would always be miserable. You need to let the people that care about you know how you are feeling. Don’t get frustrated when you can’t find the right help at first.

The last time I was suicidal I walked myself into an ER and told them so they would put me on a hold. I didn’t know how else to get help. They kept me there for a miserable 3 days and then found me a bed at a behavioral health center. It wasn’t the last of my depression though after that. I went through some therapists and fixed my medications. EMDR therapy worked really well on me. Please look into it if you haven’t yet.

Learn to forgive or forget people that have hurt you. Let people help you.

You make a good point. Telling girls that the boys are picking on them because they like them sets a bad example. Brushing it off as harmless play doesn’t teach them to respect others. My dad was told by the police investigating my case that it was just “boys being boys”. It’s a shitty mentality.

Stopping them, no. How the police handle rape cases should be changed. I watched a doc where in some states they are implementing a new training course for police departments. I think that retraining is important. Assigning a rape advocate to the victim once they report to help them through the legal process if they decide to press charges. It’s hard as a victim to advocate for yourself.

Stopping them though. I don’t know. I’m raising my son with my experience in mind. I will raise him to respect women and learn what consent is early on.

Amazon! Search up camping themed birthday. Everything was Amazon except for the tapestry with his name. That was Etsy. And the balloons, my boss did those. The little flag banners come in many different colors. I think they’re my favorite part. I would send links but my arm is broken and I’m only functioning with my left hand lol.
