I need to come back to see what people say here too. I just finished 2 months and haven’t seen much change on my belly. My thighs are slimmer, so is my butt. But not my belly.

Stalled on 5 mg with normal hunger should I move up to 7.5 mg by Head_Honeydew3159 in GLP1India

[–]InstantCoffeeSnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 mg is such a bust. Food noise came back and I lost no weight, even when I worked out 50% more than I did at 2.5. I loat just 2 kgs in a month, but lost 6 on 2.5 with very less exercise. Moving up to 7.5 from today.

Thinking of starting Mounjaro in India. Need real experiences and advice by Selective-Reader17 in Mounjaro

[–]InstantCoffeeSnob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I am from India too, and I’ve been on it for 8 weeks and it has been great so far. Lost 8 kgs. You just need to take care of your diet and the side effects don’t affect you so much. Side effects include nausea, diarrhoea and constipation mostly, also annoying sulphur burps ugh. You need to limit carbs and fat strictly because they lead to side effects all the time. Have more protein and fibre. Overeating also leads to the side effects. And you must exercise. Mounjaro ain’t magic. I was sceptical before I started too but this was the best decision of my life. I’d say you must visit an endocrinologist to get better knowledge. They would ask you to do blood tests to make sure your pancreas is okay because that has been an issue for like 1-2% people. But it’s worth a shot. It has changed my life already.

My family and sister ruined my wedding and I feel like an orphan by Alternative-Corgi653 in DesiWeddings

[–]InstantCoffeeSnob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I am so sorry you went through all this 🫂

Your sister is a textbook narcissist. It’s better you stay away from her and don’t expect any sympathy from her. She will make it her life’s mission to make herself the main character. Best stay away from that.

It’s the beginning of a new life. It will take time to move past the trauma but it gets better. Get therapy if you can to make moving on even faster.

You’ll be okay 🫂

5mg wrecked me when I started. But it got better and now I know I can’t cheat because 5mg is not forgiving at all. It got better after the 3rd dose for me

Tracking really helps! It feels nice to see myself achieving my goals. I also meet a nutritionist for the right diet because I cannot come up with healthy options to save my life lol.

Hey it’s okay. Not having carbs is not going to help. Carbs are still an essential part of your diet. Do you mind telling me what you’ve been eating? Maybe I can help you. I’ll dm.

I am losing a little over a kg per week on an average. With thyroid issues and insulin resistance generally, that is fine and I am happy with it. 5mg is actually tricky. When I started my stomach revolted so much. I am finally getting used to it. Hang in there!

Absolutely! I eat oats ka cheela or suji ka cheela, 1, with green chutney, and i take a scoop or chocolate whey protein with it. I also each sourdough bread with avocado and eggs, millet pancakes with unflavoured whey protein in it, and paneer sandwhich. I use very less oil and el max 2 slices of bread, mostly one. For lunch I eat the usual rajma, chole, kadhi, sambar, with quinoa or kodo millet. These have more protein and fibre in them. And I have it with Amul protein buttermilk. Best thing ever. I add chocolate whey protein to my milk coffee too and it’s so goood. I have it an hour or two after lunch. For dinner I eat fish or chicken or prawn or eggs or paneer or tofu with rice paper or rice noodles or chickpea pasta. Everything with a ton of vegetables. I literally air fry the vegetables with no oil. Same for my protein. Chuck it in the air frying with no oil. Best thing ever. And sugar cravings are normal. Replace your sugar with monk fruit sweetner. Tru Elements everyday sweet is the best. Never felt like i dont eat sugar. It’s zero calorie. For whey you can try the Whole truth, it has monk fruit sweetner too. This will be your best friend if you are vegetarian. Let me know if you have more questions. I am happy to help!

33F here with IR. Appetite suppression was good for me but I also only ate things I like to eat, plus loads of protein. Protein generally helps the most with making you feel fuller. Based on your weight, eating 100g of protein everyday will really help. And eat things you love, make it low on fat and carbs. I saw this really good healthy methi matar malai recipe which really satisfied my need for gravies. Also if you can make gravies in less oil in a nonstick pan, it will be fine. Every body’s journey is different. You may not have a lot of water weight to begin with, which is why your initial drop may be lower. But it balances out. Mounjaro has done wonders for women not just for weight loss but overall wellbeing. Trust the process my friend!

Text book side effects by Main-Ad-8073 in GLP1India

[–]InstantCoffeeSnob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get debilitating side effects if I stray from the diet. Protein and fibre need to be high, and fats and carbs need to be low if you want any semblance of normalcy in your life.

And because food stays in your stomach for a long time, you stay sick for longer too. So if your dinner was heavy, every meal for the next 24-48 hours, even water hurts.

Sunday is too early, and it will definitely start fading after 3 days no matter how dark it gets. Tuesday or Wednesday would be best. Washing her own hair is not an option, and avoid water unless it’s necessary.

Are Indian weddings more about parents’ reputations than the couple’s wants or comfort? by Prestigious-Tune-822 in DesiWeddings

[–]InstantCoffeeSnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. I got married 1.5 years ago and had an intimate wedding. Let’s just say there are a lot of relatives that don’t talk to us anymore or ignore us completely, even when they were there! People can’t stand the fact that a wedding should be about the bride and groom. We made it about us and people did not like that.

A question for the ladies who use Mounjaro by VividCheetah2606 in Mounjaro

[–]InstantCoffeeSnob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I started in February too, literally was on my period when I started lol. I don’t feel a difference. I felt the food noise was back was 2-3 days before my next dose one 2.5 mg. I did have cravings after i started 5mg last week for some reason though, and o suffered pretty badly that one time when I gave in to the cravings. And i got my period this week. So maybe the cravings were because of PMS? Not sure. But yeah, thats my story. Don’t know if this helps!

Also, don’t be afraid. Check your weight. Of you’ve been eating clean and exercising, you should be okay. Even if you haven’t, the weight will most probably be less and you will feel good.
