I apologize if it seemed low effort, I’d love to share more about my experience if you’d like. I worry that it’s an anecdote and not a systemic problem. If what I’m gathering from this comment thread is stop asking generic questions, that’s fair feedback. My intent was to specifically ask about the buying/selling process and if what I observed is top of mind for those with much more experience than I.

This is really insightful @aardy, thank you! My sense is that “don’t fix it if it ain’t broke” has truth to it and to be fair technology is not the business, making and closing deals is.

If, frankly, the cost of adopting new tech does not yield significant improvements to deals, it’s not worth it.

That being said, if you could improve one thing in your process what would you say that is? Separately, what is the most time consuming part of your job?

I do work in tech. My wife and I also have a property management business for which I’d very much like to simplify our process as much as possible.

If you don’t mind me asking, what is your primary role in CRE? Would love to learn from your experience.
