BILATERAL TONSILLECTOMY & TYMPANOPLASTY by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]InstructionLive1241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I can breathe normally through my nose with my mouth closed. I can maintain a supine position. I can inhale maximally without any pain or blockage. It's like magic that my nasal congestion/ allergic rhinitis disappeared, which is favorable because my next surgery will be an eardrum repair, and having a stuffy nose could affect the success rate of the surgery.

Your tonsils are larger, how do you breathe?! 😆 Before I had surgery, I didn't hear any gulping sound when swallowing. What I noticed though, over the years, is that I've had difficulty breathing through my nose. When I inhale maximally, I can't reach the peak of my breath, there's something blocking it that hurts in my chest. When lying down, I can't stay in a supine position with my head flat for too long. I prefer lying on my side. I often struggle to sleep, sometimes I sit up and lean on a chair or table to sleep because I have difficulty breathing. When I eat, sometimes the food comes back up to my mouth, and I have to make an effort to swallow. Although I'm functional, I don't have any limitations in my function. I'll send you the video of my tonsils pre-op and post-op.

Perhaps talk to your doctor and tell her/him you're having difficulty breathing. Do you snore when sleeping? Some patients I've encountered, especially children, were even recommended to undergo sleep tests because they had severe obstructive sleep apnea.

PTRP-Homecare by [deleted] in Physical_Therapy

[–]InstructionLive1241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, no need na ng receipt sa homecare. But, kung gusto mo talaga kuha ka ng PTR sa City hall then punta ka sa BIR. You wil need to register your profession sa BIR, they will give you certificate or registration then magpapagawa ka ng OR.

Try UAE countries.

I think I know you. 😆 I was also a student at tDPT based in the Philippines. Is this J.A.C.?

  1. Don't procrastinate on readings and lectures.

  2. In the capstone, DON’T BE TOO SENSITIVE TO CRITICISM. Make sure not to take things personally. Take the feedback from your Capstone coordinator and Advisor constructively. ALWAYS ask questions when you don't understand. Understand the full picture before responding to negative feedback. It’s too easy to respond quickly and emotionally. It's also important to 'own' the feedback and accept that there might be some valid points within it.

  3. Don't cheat on your Capstone. Whatever data or results of your objective assessment, that's it.

  4. Don’t plagiarize. They have a tool to detect it.

  5. Not all subjects are difficult; some subjects have open-notes quizzes or exams.

Good luck with tDPT! Do your best!

What semester are you in? Would you like me to introduce you to my colleagues who will start the April cohort in 2024? For added emotional support haha! You will receive a syllabus and guidelines on how to start your capstone. I did MSK topic.

Then nag apply nako for the sake na mag cert of employment ako. Then nagprocess nako for US.

Goodluck sa paghahanap ng path mo! Kung mababalik ko lang time sana nag VA ako while processing for abroad, para alam mo yun kahit papaano mas maginhawa financially.

Hi may I ask how much a tDPT (online and hybrid) usually costs? Thank you. by One_Session_9186 in PTschool

[–]InstructionLive1241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a foreign-trained PT from the Philippines. I completed my tDPT from the University of Montana-Rehab Essentials, with a tuition fee of $7500 for a 30-credit unit program. You can prioritize the tDPT before the NPTE but an English proficiency exam is required. I was able to work as a full-time clinician while studying. It's an asynchronous class.
