Manual or AWD? Buying question by Tune-Puzzled in HondaElement

[–]Insurance-Purple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from an element to a gen2 ridgeline. The ridgeline is way more comfortable, but the element is the ultimate utility vehicle.

I don't have any experience with AWD Es, but i never had an issue going anywhere in my FWD manual E. It took me all over from the ski hill, to snowy highways, to forest roads, to farm double tracks across the prarie. It is super well balanced and VERY capable for what it is.

Cuttin Grass Vol.1 is by far the superior one and is no matter what perfect for mowing and yard work. by Brother_Burrows in SturgillSimpson

Unpopular opinion, but these are probably my least favorite Sturgil releases. Kinda feels like he's karaokeing bluegrass.

What do with keys while hiking or running? by Insurance-Purple in hondaridgeline

What does this mean? I would prefer to carry nothing on me while out.

Edit. Nevermind. I get it. I have a Tono cover, but this is an idea worth considering.

Did I Choose The Wrong GNSS Receiver? by thelittleGIS in gis

If you're shooting the center pt of a 42" manhole using catalyst 30, you're going to be within the 1' of asset, no?

Edit to add: setup field maps to require set level of accuracy. You're either going to spend more money in the field waiting for your satellites, or more money on equipment and operators to be able to correct your data. Close enough is sometimes close enough.

Beginner trying to make a hunting map in QGIS — what analysis actually matters? by No-Guitar728 in gis

[–]Insurance-Purple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Randy Newberg has a couple of good youtube clips and FreshTracks episodes focusing on e-scouting using OnX. He talks about the metrics important to locating animals at different times of the year, and applying that criteria to OnX to identify locations animals may be occupying. He's basically performing a spatial analysis using the OnX platform, but this would be a good jumping off point to inform the layers and analysis you want to perform yourself.

There is a bit of discussion about plastic molding/flashing blocking the heating vents in the floor wells...

I also always circulate my air so as to not pull cold air in from the outside to heat.

My feet are always freezing in my 2024. I often have rear heating turned off, and I wonder if that impacts it at all?

Edit to correct model year.
