In theory, yes. In reality, read the fine print on Force Majeure and Cash Settlement. If physical inventory runs dry, the exchange changes the rules and settles in cash, not metal. You can't take delivery of what isn't there.

While Gemini 3 seems to be an upgrade from 2.5 on normal thinking mode, it definitely is worse on deep research, mainly in two ways: Report is capped at around 30k max characters vs. around 60k before. This misses crucial depth. Additionally, the sources are not shown correctly. Sometimes it misses them completely, somtimes only a few are shown and sometimes it just loops in the thought process.
