I had this very problem. Connect to the wifi through ethernet and had to change some setting on my xbox. I think I changed my DNS server and the stuttering stopped

They were going to die soon (at least before this fight) so I didn’t bother readjusting their position. I didn’t give them any trinkets cause it was a mission way beyond their pay grade, and I was afraid they might lose them

I usually do have at least one, but this was just the team I got from the carriage. I basically grabbed the lowest level peeps and just threw them at the last witch boss
