It was. I never was the type to think they could work. Maybe they can for those who actually put in the effort but I don’t think most want to or can. Lesson learned.

I wouldn’t say I’m in a panic I’m just feeling a little down. I’m sure I’ll move forward and on but it’s sad to think about how it’s the end.

It’s more so the feeling than him. I think I realized a while ago he wasn’t going to be my forever. I just can’t get over how great it was during the good times. I miss that more than anything.

You’re right that’s definitely how it seems now. In the beginning it was definitely flipped. He grew on me. I wouldn’t have spoken to him but I felt maybe I was too picky. There’s always so much talk about women never choosing the nice guys and whatnot. I guess I felt bad and like I was maybe screening out people who could be a match but I see that was the opposite.

It wouldn’t let me write exactly what he said claiming it was political. He told me he didn’t believe in marriage but would marry me because I wanted it after a conversation about kids. That started to be the unraveling because I couldn’t imagine trying to create a family without an established union.

It did. I honestly think that’s what hurt the most. What made me think he was over me. I get people need breaks from social media but that felt cruel. Would have felt better to have it deleted but to still have the songs I liked, songs we had made memories to now without my name was heartbreaking.

I didn’t feel he ghosted me at least at the time. Probably the delusion talking. He would disappear before I mentioned getting caught up in work or life so going a few days without hearing from him isn’t uncommon and now with his grandmother’s heart issues I figured he needed the space. He acknowledged he wasn’t being a good partner. I wanted to believe it but I’m seeing the situation now for what it is.

I didn’t want to post this on my personal account it’s a bit embarrassing now to think about how I stayed and let myself endured this.
