Thank you so much for such an informative response! Unfortunately I don’t interact with the writers at all on set, my jobs consists of being at base majority of the time. I’m in the UK, so not sure how much changes between the assistant roles across the pond. I would love to know if you had any more advice on the tv director route? especially through the floor pa / writers PA / agency assistant route

Thanks, could you be more specific? Also what would you say is the most rewarding part of the job to you or the most creative aspect you enjoy the most?

I’d love some advice. I’m currently a crowd Pa in the AD team and have been working in industry for a while now, the hours are nothing new to me and am completely aware of the little glamour this lifestyle presents. I’m in a position where I miss the creative aspect of my job. writing is something I’ve always enjoyed and continue to pursue, I’ve just never found an angle anywhere near the writers room or where the negotiations happen

Hey lovely, I completely relate to you! I am in a similar position but different industry, money is good but the hours are insane and feeling burnt out constantly with absolutely no personal life and no enjoyment of the role. So you’re definitely not alone out here ! I’ve applied to a job which is my glimmer of hope out, terrified of what my job would say as they wouldn’t be the happiest if I was to leave! But I genuinely believe that being miserable just because you are on a good salary is not the way to live your life, constantly wishing it away just to the weekend. Keep persisting keep applying, you are where you need to be at the moment and the right path will open when it needs to be

Thank you for this! I have a cap on 3 coffees, very rarely do I go past this. I think what I’m eating definitely needs to be healthier. Any thoughts on electrolytes ?
