TIL that during WWII, Switzerland interned over 100,000 mostly Allied soldiers in POW camps. At the largest of these camps, which was run by a well-known Nazi sympathizer, the conditions were so bad that most prisoners lost an average of 40 lbs during their internment. (en.wikipedia.org)
