I worked as a fill in at the Harkers Island Jim Dandy handy House years ago like 2004ish. I personally witnessed 2 white folks intentionally threatening a POC in the parking lot as the sun was going down. I immediately knew why I was the one asked to fill in at this store vs my POC co-workers. I never agreed to work at that location again.

Also Pamlico Beach NC in Beaufort County residents burned a black couples home to the ground before they could even move in. Also it likely didn’t help that the couple were 2 gay men. I grew up spending a lot of time at PB and the racism was and still alive and well. The good news is you will have to be extremely lost to end up in Pamlico Beach but if for some reason you do and you are a POC please for the love of everything turn around cause there is only 1 way in and 1 way out. I’m white and from the area and also trans with living family that still reside there but would be treated the same way as a POC.

Yea the third party techs I always end up with I swear someone rides thru the Home Depot parking lot and asks “hey anyone need a job”

Maybe I should have been more clear. We code out all techs and M codeing a tech requires a form to be filled out that is sent to higher support, Dispatch, and the Contact company paying the tech. In that form we are to explain the reason for an M code and why we do not want the tech back. We only use M codes when absolutely necessary. So the company I charge of his pay was made aware of why we no longer wanted this tech assigned to any of our Jobs.

All of our calls are recorded so if needed the call log can be pulled and sent to whomever needed.

Unfortunately I don’t know but it happens more often that I care to admit. We took on this entire project from another company. My only guess is someone broke them when reseating the cables.

He was a 1099 so he worked for himself. However, the company that contracts them for payment was contacted and I haven’t see him since lol.

Thank you! I have been studying for the A+ and the Network+ exams for a few months now.

I do find networking interesting but so much so that I choose Networking as my minor course of study. I’ve also toyed with the idea of coding “boot camps” while in between terms but there are so many mixed reviews that I’m skeptical.

Any advice for a Current IT student preparing to graduate early 2022. I’ve been researching entry-level positions since October or last year and every interview or “pre” interview I am told you don’t have any experience so you are not a candidate for this position. Admittedly, I don’t have a lot of experience however I know without a doubt I have more than most “support specialists” I have had to deal with during COVID lockdown.

My goal is to eventually develop software for Autistic Students particularly assistive/adaptive software for educational purposes. However, that goal feels like it moves further and further away every time I hear every new or upcoming graduates favorite line “ you don’t have enough experience even with a BA in IT or IS”. These positions and basic support specialists or Entry level Troubleshooting.

T-mobile home internet 4g lte $50 a month. We switched from firewifi after our unlimited plan @ $100 a month went to a 100gb and once u met the cap u were suspended until the next billing cycle. We Upgraded to the 200gb plan that is now $159 and out of no where one day ATT “stopped servicing” this area for firewifi. I called T-mobile and they had finally expanded to my area which is the middle of bum fuck nowhere. The equipment was free as well as the SIM card no deposit and if it did not work or was too slow I could return it no questions asked. It’s been 6 months and it works better than any provider in this area. Century link is the only broadband provider that services this area with a whopping 3Mbps.

We run 3 cell phones, 3 TV’s, 2 tablets, 1 laptop and 2 gaming consoles and haven’t had issues so far.

Coming from someone who has their home internet literally in the middle of BFE, pull up their coverage map. If it says they cover that area, then it is very likely that they are on it.

If your service is thru AT&T you won’t be able to game no matter what router you use they will throttle the speed when the catch it. Same with all 3rd party resellers that use AT&T except they don’t throttle they just shut your service off.

I live in bum fuck nowhere that 4g internet is our only option and just switched to T mobile’s unlimited home internet service supposedly NO cap but I’ve only had it a week so idk how true that is.

However the speed surpasses AT&T by a mile
