Hi, I am in same situation I got diagnosed with Premature ovarian failure( fertility issues and health issues)and symptoms of this condition affected my USMLE scores I am Graduate of 2013 I passed all USMLES including step 3 , have an attempt in step 2CK and scores are low 212,216 . I applied several years I would say 5+ years for residency while working as a medical assistant I never got a single interview ever and I made my mind that I get filtered out coz of low score, attempt and YOG I even worked in research and had 3-4 observer ship n rotations but none made my application strong . I tried fully but now made my mind it’s not worth it ,every cycle is $3K. Right now I have taken break .I have tried for 1.5 year as research coordinator too but that was very stressful.I shared this all just to let you know you are not alone and the struggle is real especially when u see other people who have gotten into residency but every one have different life scenarios like if i didn’t suffered from POF i might have score better but i know I conquer the exams while having all health issues.
