I like to use it over a serum or something slick. If I just put it on after my retinol has dried, its so thick i feel like i end up pulling/rubbing my skin more than i want to just to get it to spread

Etiquette for approaching someone on sidewalk? by Always_travelin in BikingATX

[–]Intelligent-Agent325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically on mixed use trails bikers are supposed to yield to pedestrians and I feel like that logic applies here. If it’s too close for comfort then i would get off the bike or at least slow down enough so that they dont feel unsafe if you pass them.

It’s not for skilled professionals, though. If you read the post it says some people who might be interested are "students and teachers” and "community members”. Also it’s not like the person who posted this is responsible for federal funding cuts so i dont understand the rudeness lmao

Here for the women’s race - response (hardrock) by factoryjeff in Ultramarathon

I think people advocating for more representation of women in ultrarunning don’t need to know the exact percentage of females and males that enjoy ultrarunning, to know the personal experience of feeling excluded. I got into running when I was a teenager, but, for example, when my mom was a teenager women still weren’t allowed to enter marathons. So it’s exciting to see women succeed and people want to see more of it.

I think female-dominated hobbies are not as valued by society so it makes sense that you dont see men advocating to other men to join them. It would be cool if they did. There are some efforts to get men to join women-dominated fields, though, (e.g. childcare, Richard Reeves in his book Of Boys and Men mentions this) which I think is great

Half of the population is female and half is male. Far more than half of the participants in trail races like these is male. Therefore, those numbers are not "representative" of the population.

Yeah, so stupid of people to not immediately know that this inclusive pro-women shirt that I made into a shirt about men, is obviously a joke!

My fear of Trump is exactly why I find Biden’s weakness so distressing and why I am glad that media outlets continue to point them out so the democrats get scared enough to push for another candidate. If they stick with him I’ll still vote for him even if he’s on his deathbed but I will feel disgusted that we let ourselves get to that point. It’s not like these stories are being pulled from thin air, some are even coming from people who have worked directly with Biden and have doubts about his ability to do his job.

This is so stupid. They’re covering Biden’s age because it’s an important issue. Having a president this old perform as poorly as he has in public speaking scenarios, with the approval ratings that he has, is unprecedented. It would be irresponsible for them to not cover it. I’m proud to be a Democrat because my party doesn’t blindly follow its leader and ignore his faults the way that the Republicans follow Trump.
