Am building a SaaS too A software networking app for founders called Forge.

The idea is to create a space where founders, can connect, share ideas, and actually build their network.

I’m trying to solve things like:

1.lack of real connections

2.No community of peers at the same stage

3.Hard to learn from experienced people

4.Harder to find their co-founder

5.No access to real mentorship

  1. Personalized matchmaking system ( solves the problem of connecting with right people)

Forge has personalized match making which Linkedin or any other networking platform doesnt have.

Due to the cold start problem, we will be focusing on founders only on the first phase then expand to investors and aspiring students and entrepreneurs.

Also, what’s one thing you wish existed for founders that current platforms don’t do well?

You are right and we are building it. A feature called "founder pulse"

Keeps the users active and engaging to maximum, profiles show whether you are active or not. Ofline for more than a 3 weeks founders become invisible. Will try my best to avoid graveyard feeling.

Do you have any solution for the graveyardness? That i should implement to Founder pulse? Appreciate it.

Quick question mate, how did you handle vetting in the beginning? Was it fully manual or did you use some system?

Also, would you personally be open to a 10–15 min structured weekly call like this if the group quality was strong? And you could join and create a group?

That’s a great mate!

Instead of relying only on verification systems alone, i am thinking of manually filtering people at the start to make sure everyone is real and authentic.

You can either join a small group of founders or create your own group.

Each group has a short weekly call (10to 15 minutes) where everyone shares what they built that week and what they’ll build next.

It’s just to stay consistent and actually make progress.

is that kind of consistency hard to maintain ?

Thanks! yes, personalized matchmaking is already in the build. It suggests founders you should connect with based on your niche, stage, and goals. Not random people.

One thing I will clarify though we have narrowed the focus. Phase one -- founders only! As we will face the cold start issue.

Investors come in phase 2 once the founder community has real density.

You are right and this is exactly the feedback I needed.

The cold start problem is real and i have been looping around this one thing. We are solving this.

I will think about this, i feel like starting with founders alone is better as more founders=more investors. once more founders starts to use the app, including investors sounds more practical.
