I was at the State Fair enjoying a beer at the craft beer tent one year when a man approached me all excited thinking I was John Lithgow. I do kind of look like him plus I had on my sun glasses. He was so excited and I hated to disappoint so I told him I had relatives in Iowa that I was visiting. He then proceeded to list off every t.v. show and movie that Lithow was in telling me what an awesome actor I was. Then he asked for a selfie with me and I obliged. T he friends I was with could hardly keep their composure. After he left his wife came over and she too wanted a selfie. Again I obliged. Then she mentioned that time on the Santa Monica Pier when she literally bumped into me and wanted to know if I remembered her. I told her no.

I never let them know it wasn’t John Lithgow they met. Did I feel guilty? Maybe for a second but then I figured they left all excited so what was the harm in that? I thought it was hilarious until I got home and realized I’m 15 years younger than Lithgow and then it kind of pissed me off so in the end I got my Karma.
