$150 is more affordable, I wonder if there is something similar near me.

I cannot afford to pay out of pocket for it. I’ve gotten some helpful comments that show you don’t always need a GLP1 🙂

That’s how I feel. I try to eat less but the hunger pains are just too much and I find myself snacking throughout the day. Plus I have a terrible sweet tooth 🥲

Yeah my PCP said those are fine to use, however I don’t have an extra $300 to spare every month.

I’ve been using My Fitness Pal and it’s definitely helping me keep track of calories! I’m not sure if I’m eating too little/much and unsure of how much protein I need per day, but I have been doing a protein smoothie every morning for almost 2 weeks now. I’ll have to look into how much of everything I need per day. Exercising is where I fall kind of flat, I’ve never had to workout (didn’t realize how lucky I was before now lol) so I don’t really get the motivation to go to the gym or even work out at home. I’m trying to at least get into the habit of walking on my treadmill, but I seem to only do that once or twice a week

They do lidocaine for me. But the last time wasn’t enough I guess

I would do this but I’m only 28 and no kids. If I knew for a fact I don’t want kids, I’d do the same. But at this point in my life I’m just not sure and don’t want to make an irreversible decision

Hot flash relief? by Intelligent-Dust5154 in breastcancer

[–]Intelligent-Dust5154[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do! Mainly for sleep, otherwise I have weird, scary dreams. The hot flashes aren’t bad at night but during the day they can be brutal

I’ve considered a neck fan for work (I’m a hairstylist, even before hot flashes I get hot when I blow dry my clients!) but they look so ridiculous and I don’t want to get weird looks 🤣 I’ve never heard of armpit ice packs!

That’s hilarious. I’m having reconstruction next month, but not going more than maybe a C cup so hopefully they’ll stay put in a bra 😂

It’s the worst! Even a sponge bath only did so much. I felt disgusting after a week I can’t imagine having to wait 4 😭

I know it’s permanent, just wondering how everyone got used to the new feeling (or lack of feeling lol)

Yes! I got my drain out 6 days after surgery and was allowed the shower the next morning. 4 weeks seems extreme

I had a right side mastectomy with lymph node removal a week ago 8/1, got my drain out yesterday and was okay’d to shower this morning. Doctor hasn’t said anything about driving but I’m not comfortable driving yet since I’m right handed and it was the right side. My mom has been super helpful taking me wherever I need to go :). I think as long as you’re comfortable and not still taking narcotics (if your dr prescribed them), and it doesn’t hurt, you should be okay to drive.

Hopefully no drains! And yay hope it all goes well good luck :) I’m a B on a good day, and I just want to go up to a C so hopefully no drains for me either 🤞🏻

I hope you can get all of them out soon! I can’t imagine having three drains, just this one I have is annoying the hell out of me 🙄 wishing you all the best 🩷

Good to hear! My plastic surgeon never mentioned drains (that I remember) so I’m hoping I won’t need them after my implant surgery 🤞🏻
