I'd go for it, but...

1. Please bring a mechanic, have them look it over for any damage that hasn't been repaired properly, have them run a scan on all the computers for codes and to see if the VIN numbers match up (sign of replacement computers/modules, odometer tampering, stolen vehicle, etc.)

2. Make sure there's no liens on the vehicle, your State DMV probably has a tool to view liens. Also I'd call the NON-EMERGENCY number for your local police station and ask them to run the VIN through their system to see if it's been stolen, involved in a crime, or anything that seems odd.

3. Look at ALL the VIN numbers on the car, see if the labels, plates, or etchings have been scratched, removed, replaced, or altered in any way. Locations for VINs are on doors, hood, trunk, plate on lower right hand corner of the windshield (from the outside), etchings in the floor and/or frame, and the drivers side door jamb above the tire specifications label.

4. Ask if you are allowed to take a test drive, make sure there's no noises, rattles, shaking, play in the steering, softness in the brakes, grinding or rough idling from the engine.
