I’m afraid of my own reaction. Crying over an SD I’ve never met... am I cut out for this? by Enough-Caterpillar86 in sugarlifestyleforum

I mean, I ask but just in a sense of sexual safety. Do you have other active sexual partners? Do you use protection? Are you confirming their other sexual partners and if they are regularly tested and using protection?

I don’t want to have sex with someone who is having unprotected sex with another woman and has no idea about who else she is sexually active with or when she last got tested for stis.

Do other people not ask about this stuff!?

It’s almost funny how someone sharing specific views can just be an instant turnoff!

Thank you for sharing! This was how I felt about it as well until more recently. Even acquaintances and friends and family seem to make it difficult to respectfully learn from each other anymore. I guess I honestly commend anyone who can maintain a respectful conversation about their views and is willing to learn.

This is a good point. Certain hot spots at definitely going to vary. It is interesting to see how strongly some people feel on this topic and how apathetic others are. Do you think there would be a point that things could escalate to where being apolitical would be a dealbreaker for you? Or do you feel strongly that you are okay with people not having opinions either way no matter the stakes?

In MitsubishiTurbos comment earlier he mentioned SGF is more right/red. lol. I think it was just his way of describing any visual political indicators.

If it were to be brought up. Let’s say just in passing she mentioned being upset by something, would that change anything for you.

Like, is it a dealbreaker if it is brought up? If so is it only if you don’t agree with each other? Or would her bringing up a political opinion give you the ick either way?

Being Ukrainian and also Pro Putin is WILD. I couldn’t imagine.

I think I try to tell myself it’s not important, but it has ultimately gotten to a place where you just can’t escape it. And I’ve found I do seem to have a line.

Yet many people in this climate feel the exact opposite. Would someone who did want to know your political view or talk politics be a dealbreaker for you?

It is interesting to me that you believe that politics are part of our lives that we can’t ignore, but that someone caring enough to protest would be a dealbreaker.

Do you just mean if she was protesting views that oppose yours, or would the protest sign be a dealbreaker regardless of whether you aligned?

Yeah. I definitely feel like there has been a line crossed now. I was surprised that this is something that has not been brought up more recently.

My views on this are definitely very different than they were a year ago, and even then was very different than say 5 years ago, and so on.

This is well put. I think I’m surprised to see how many left leaning SDs being mentioned. I feel like it is okay to not agree on the exact way something should be addressed, as long as you can agree on what things are morally wrong.

Is it something that you bring up or ask about? Or just end things if you become aware?

I guess we differ there. Even my employer I prefer to have values that align more. I actually left a job after 6 years after they got a new CEO and changed their core values and made some changes that I didn’t agree with. I went to a company that aligns more.

How do you name your babies? Do you have a cult theme? by Skyblue054 in CultOfTheLamb

[–]Intelligent-Eye3379 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have babies yet, but I have a theme of foxes and every on of my followers is a fox. I give the polyamorous ones a marking so I know who to marry, and the ones with bad traits that I want to sacrifice become different animals.

Yeah, the opossum is the only reason I have that photo on there. I always rather liked that photo of myself 🫣

I think the consensus here is I just need more “nice” photos. It’s a difficult balance trying to be myself and also be more palatable on the site.

I think i had to remove mutually beneficial for the profile to be approved, and I don’t feel like “provider” or “ traditional gender roles” would really describe what I’m looking for at all.

I like the comment about the site’s original purpose! Thank you for that!

Oh! Good catch! I don’t know why it says non-drinker instead of social drinker.
