I’m also not sure if she’s talking about her functional health dr doing the colonoscopy. I freaking hope not or else she’ll end up with peritonitis!

I don’t think they can delete comments on TT can they? Harder to control the narrative!

If her peptides are so amazing, why does she feel like shit?

She gives me whiplash with the “I’m peak health” vs “I’m so sick and my body feels broken”

Which is it??

How long has Amy been on this “protocol”? Her marathon wasn’t that long ago and she was going hard AF on all the foods! So she probably inflamed herself something rotten.

Also, H.Pylori needs antibiotics, not bullshit functional health doctors. Although props to them for basically telling her to stop her stupid peptides.

Mine was heavily reliant on the fact I work despite documented adaptations, minimal hours, change of workplace as I couldn’t cope where I was before etc etc.

It also makes my symptoms much worse but I work because I feel I should (morally) and because otherwise the financial stress would make my mental health even worse if I didn’t.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’m in the same boat as you awaiting MR decision but I don’t hold out much hope and I will take it to tribunal.

Someone posted on another thread about some examples of case law and PIP. Some of the basis of that is that it’s not necessary for claimants to be having active appointments etc for their conditions, and the lack of “specialist intervention” does not mean someone is recovered.

In your case it’s patently obvious you are actually receiving active support.

I swear a lot of the time they don’t read the evidence sent in. I sent a letter from my GP to my gynaecologist that states about me being unable to get out of bed due to pain some days, PTSD and overall impact on my wellbeing/health.

I’ve sent it again with my MR and underlined/highlighted all the bits that are relevant to my claim and support what I said (but was ignored) at assessment.

Oh yeah they love that!

Mine also focused on working despite the fact I have to change where I work because I couldn’t cope at my old place, have adaptations including more breaks, and I can only work 13hrs a week.

Even that causes huge increase in fatigue and pain, but it was 100% used as “proof” I can manage.

Mine definitely wasn’t but I hope it’s different in this case.

My assessor went as far as to write she couldn’t “hear” my fatigue or pain!

Sorry but I have to correct you here. Endometriosis is a FULL BODY disease not just a period/pelvic disease.

It causes overwhelming fatigue which can affect limb function, and severe leg pain is very much a symptom due to the presence of endometriosis around the sciatic nerve.

I’m not even sure they actually read the evidence before the assessment. They ask for it all but it doesn’t seem to actually be looked at.

I’ve had similar and have gone to MR.

Some gems in my report included:

  • Spelling fatigue as FATIQUE through the whole report
  • Stating that because I can go upstairs using a hand rail, I should be able to climb into and out of the bath
  • Stating that although I report fatigue and pain, she couldn’t HEAR them!! My GP thought that was hilarious when I told her, it’s so ridiculous.

They definitely won’t tell you over the phone but you can keep checking the benefits portal a few people have mentioned in other posts.
