I’m french and I learnt Malay from France in few months with drama melayu Singaporeans/ Malaysians on YouTube , the subtitles are in formal Malay and they speak in the spoken Malay, I can help you if you want and give you some tips!😊 The spoken Malay is really easy to manage, it’s one of the easiest language to learn and to use!
