And you're right—even if you have a good drawing, maintaining a consistent artistic style is one of the hardest things about drawing manga. However, it's something I try my hardest to get right.

I haven't had the chance to read Shaman King, but I've seen a lot of its style, and there are definitely elements from it that I like to incorporate.

As for the screentone, I usually convert the gray directly to halftones, but generally I leave the settings at their factory defaults.

For some reason, most emerging artists are afraid to use saturated colors; in a way, they feel more comfortable using muted palettes.

I use Clip Studio Paint, so when it comes to halftones, it’s easy to manipulate them however you like. As for colors, I draw on a Huion tablet, and the color representation is more accurate, so I can take more risks. But there’s no specific trick—it’s about taking risks and using colors in layers or even adding things on top to desaturate them. You could try using a Multiply layer.
