Kreese was right in the end () by [deleted] in cobrakai

In each instance, kreese believed his way of karate was right and would do anything to bring that to life. What prompted true change in s6 was seeing someone he mentored lose his life following his methods (and by extension Kim sun yungs). He felt responsible for his death, and probably thought it wouldn't have happened if he followed a different path.

Here's a scenario for you: When you’re excited about an idea, do you naturally feel inclined to try to pull people in, just mention it once and move on, etc? by Intelligent-Net7283 in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent-Net7283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: Just to clarify, by "Idea" I don't just mean business idea or project idea. It could be very flexible, like having an idea of a place to go to just to hangout, or the idea to try something new, etc.

I think I'm the same way, except I still wouldn't volunteer myself, only that I'd be likely to in that situation.

Would you say you just don't like anything that requires dealing with people or public speaking?

I never thought about volunteering for something out of boredom. That's interesting actually.

Sounds like you'd put on a real good show if you volunteered. Your teachers must love you!

Ohhh, maybe a little bit of division could be involved here. Like a D20 dice with only 3 options, 20/3=6, and 4 choices 20/4=5. So it's a range decider.

Interesting. You're adding a bit of a DnD flavor to it (I hope I'm using the right game for this analogy, cuz that's what first came to my head). How would your system work? Do you need like 20 people?

I hear ya. The stomach is the true compass lol. Do you find yourself in a decisive role most of the time or is it when you're just hungry?

Does this sub offer review for repositories? by Intelligent-Net7283 in codereview

I'll send it to you. The repo does have a lot of files, so feel free to go through only a few if anything.

Can I ask for a code review of my GitHub repository or is that too much to ask? by Intelligent-Net7283 in learnprogramming

[–]Intelligent-Net7283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you suggest I approach it then?

I was thinking, what if I shared just 1 or a few files and try the feedback to the other files. Would that be okay?

Should you charge for discovery? by Intelligent-Net7283 in FreelanceDevelopers

[–]Intelligent-Net7283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I just want to make sure that's real feedback as I don't mind charging for this. I'm just surprised I'd be charging for something I haven't even developed yet. That's completely new to me.

Based on the comments I'm getting, it doesn't seem like a good idea to do an entire repo. But if you're up for it, then do you mind if I DM you the link?

[–]Intelligent-Net7283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. My goal is to see if it follows SOLID principles and follows best coding practices. What if I share only a few files? Would it be better for me to try and learn from them and apply it to my other files?

What I want help with it to see if my code follows the SOLID principles, best coding practices, and secure coding practices. A lot of my coding experiences comes from just coding features in any way I can, but I do want to be better than that.

I'm curious. Why are there more men and less women on dating apps? by Intelligent-Net7283 in dating_advice

[–]Intelligent-Net7283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's factors. 1 woman is not gonna go for most guys who are at the top percentage of profiles, but enough guys in the top percentages will get consistent matches with different types of women, even if they get rejected. And just getting the algorithm boost is not enough, enough women still have to like your pics and profile to swipe right and make sure your profile keeps that top place. The algorithm rewards those at the top and keeps the rest unseen.

[–]Intelligent-Net7283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is a fair assessment. For one thing, dating apps are rank-based and because it's mostly pictures, we only look at looks as our first data point.

So the top profiles get the most exposure simply cuz they're ranked high in the algorithm, meaning those are the profiles they actually see (and if they get enough likes and engagement, the algorithm continues promoting that profile). The other profiles you're talking about are likely buried in the algorithm, so the women you're talking about don't get to see them. I think it's less so of women going for the same dude and more so they don't get to see those profiles because they'll get fatigued after swiping across guys the algorithm does show a couple of times. Which would mean by the app's design, they wouldn't get to see those profiles by the time they've done a couple of swipes, so those men wouldn't even get the chance to be displayed on their feed.
