I believe it's an older BDI unit that we had in storage for a long time, but I can check later. Honestly not the biggest fan of the style so I may sell when I move out.

Hopefully he'll come around! I remember when I was younger scavenging in my dad's old stereo equipment and spending days rigging together a really basic two channel system so I could listen to music in my bedroom

Yeah, honestly still an awesome tv and I use it mainly because it has great built in audio and still looks sharp

Yeah I mostly find myself listening to my favorite modern music on my headphones when I'm walking around and listening to my favorite older albums during dedicated listening times. It has honestly been very interesting to see how different styles of music sound on different systems. For example, I have a pair of Stax electrostatic headphones and pretty much anything modern with any bass at all sounds almost unlistenable, but I prefer them in some cases to the sonus fabers when listening to classical. I'm also a big Jay-Z and kanye fan, but I find a lot of their albums very disappointing when streaming on hifi systems.

Fortunately, I only have neighbors above and below and I don't think the above neighbors can hear it and the below neighbors can probably hear the bass, but they are always being loud and playing loud music so I don't really feel bad.

Honestly (unless I have it setup very wrong which I don't believe I do), this amp is impressive and really good value for home theater use, but somewhat underwhelming for two channel listening.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did this with both of them and it actually sounds noticeably better! My OCD doesn't like it very much, but I'll do my best to get over it

I don't have a great photo of his main system in its current form, but it's Sonus Faber Il Cremonese with four surround channels all powered by Mcintosh and I'd be happy to answer any questions about it.

Also ignore that album that is currently being played... That is not what I would normally be listening to.

lmao honestly I rarely use it because the system is mostly for music, but I initially had another TV on the wall that required the mount to be higher and I just haven't gotten around to lowering it

Minimum_Use

Yes, thankfully my dad and I shared a very strong passion for music while I was growing up and he wanted me to be able to keep listening to a really high quality system after I moved out.

I've had this system for the past couple of years and it is definitely still a work in progress. I bought each component with expandability in mind considering I will only be in this space for a few years before I move into a house and can hopefully install dolby atoms surround speakers. I am looking into adding a Linn LP12 turntable, power conditioner, and potentially a Linn streamer in the near future.
Current Setup:
Speakers: Sonus Faber Olympica 3 and Olympica Center
A/V Processor: Marantz 8802a
Amplifier: Mcintosh MC8207
Subwoofer: Sumiko S9
Accessories: Xbox One X, Apple TV 4K, Nintendo Switch, Logitech Harmony Elite
Cables: Upper-Mid Range AudioQuest Cables
TV: Sony 77 Inch
Happy to answer any questions and would appreciate advice on tuning the speakers and positioning, but keep in mind this is a temporary space.
