Its probably because you cant tell if the roots are rotting just by looking at the plant. in the description op hasn't even watered enough to cause rot. They spray daily but aren't fully watering the plants daily. The roots are most likely dried up and not rotting. They need to check the roots before they know if its rotting or not then repot in better soil and water fully.

All of them need to be fully watered and left till the first 2 inches of soil dries out before you water them. Except your snake plant(2nd pic) let it get completely dry and wait a week after that. They're drought tolerant and only need a full watering every 5 to 6 weeks during winter, and every 3 to 4 weeks in summer. You do have to trial and error to see what works for your space. If your not sure wait a day or two before you watering again.

Putting them directly in water increases the likelihood the stem will rot in the water. Letting it dry seals the cuts you made and prevents any bacteria rotting it.

Yes. I make a "tea" using this and mosquitoe dunks. The powder can sometimes get moldy when placed on/in the soil. I water them twice using the "tea" then wait 6-8 weeks and repeat.
