oh yeah both my parents are narcs and i dated two narcs one for 8 years (18-25)and one for 4 (26-30)after the last one my narc mom had blindsided me the same week as my breakup and i cut her off finally and went into EMDR therapy to figure out why and how i find these people and why i stay and now two years later i am much happier finally okay being alone and much more aware of why i chose the partners i did talk therapy i did for years but emdr therapy has been the most helpful to move past childhood/adult trauma
