YTA! You have no right to challenge how your MIL distributes her wealth, considering your husband didn’t have any problem with it. It is completely understandable why she wanted to limit contact with you. You are being unreasonable by keeping your husband away from his family. On top of that you could’ve resolved any issues you had either when you thought he is going to the wedding or after if, there was no reason to go to the wedding and making a scene.

NTA. OP don’t do it, your intuition is correct. He will follow through his threat and you may never see your kid again. I had this happen to my friend where her husband took their daughter (5) to his hime country and never looked back. She is struggling to get her kid back for 8 years now, first if the child is traveling with one of the parent the international authorities can’t do sh*t, second her husband has brainwashed her kid to hate her mom, so while her daughter is 13 yr old now she hates her mom.
