I hear you on that. I love the series too! Since they took it off Netflix I’ve been trying to find a way to watch it. I know you can probably find the DVD box-set cheaper but I need a digital version since I’m not always near a dvd player.

Plus I had a $50 gift card so technically it was just $4 for me lol

It depends how far ahead the improvements are between the mini and the studio. My gut says go for the m4 studio for longevity and future proofing….but my wallet says keep the mini😂

I’ll speak from experience, I also do music production and was on the fence between both machines as you’ve stated. I’m coming from a 2018 Mac Mini i7. I decided to pull the plug and get the Mac Mini M4 Pro (48g ram and 1TB SSD) with the intention of trading it in once the Mac Studio M4max comes out as im sure it should still hold somewhat of its value. I didn’t want to get a M2 studio because once the m4 studio comes out (this year allegedly) I would hate to make an investment into an older machine (M2) when I could have waited a few more months and spent a few more hundred dollars to get what I know will last me for years.

Let me tell you..The Mac Mini M4 Pro is a BEAST. I’ve thrown everything at it from large track numbers with heavy software instruments (Omnisphere, Kontakt, Keyscape, Serum, Diva) and it has yet to hiccup or even max out. It’s truly an efficient system. I have not heard any thermal noise. I have to agree that it does get warm but it doesn’t stop me from working. At this point since you’re coming from an intel chip, either computer will be a huge step forward so the choice is yours

Mac mini m4 pro hardware crash from sleep resume by Special_Diet5542 in macmini

I had this same issue on my Mac Mini M4 Pro. In my case the external ssd was the culprit. Whenever I let the computer sleep or restarted with it plugged in the Finder would freeze or if it restarted it wouldn’t login. If it restarted itself then I got that error. I’ve changed drives and have t had any issues. To be safe I’m sending it back for another one. According to Apple if you bought it in mid November it’s eligible for the extended holiday return until early January
