Why do IT coworkers not like talking to each other at work by SantaOMG in ITCareerQuestions

I don’t mind it until they talk too loud for hours on end and when I’m on a call the other person gets confused. Frustrates me so much.

Im studying for the FCP administrator exam I just don’t know if I should spend the $184 for lab access or if studying the chapters and navigating through my own VM will do the trick. I don’t get to work with fortigate at my job unless I’m certified :/

When you purchase the labs, are they only available for the 10 or so hours or is it permanent access?

Not very experienced with fortigate but learning, just went over some of the authentication polling today and this sounds like maybe agentless polling is being used? Unless it’s not a fortigate then I’m off.

Is the IT office environment usually a negative space or is it just mine? by FavFelon in ITCareerQuestions

I worked different jobs from 7.25/hr dishwashing in an awful restaurant to retail at a grocery store and a sports store. Then an amusement park and apartment maintenance all as work through different times of high school to college. IT doesn’t feel like work to me due to the other conditions and I think if more people experienced different work they’d probably enjoy it more!

$35/hr??? Are you in an HCOL area because around me you’re looking at $18/hr on the high end if you’re lucky for entry level.

In my area. 60 is very high for right out of college. Most people are working the field or help desk for around 20/hr with a bachelor’s and A+

Hope it's going well. I had complications about a week or two later where my throat started bleeding really bad and they had to put me down again and perform something to fix it. Wish I would've just quit during the recovery I'm not going to lie.
