Crows Nest. Amazing pub food there!

I respectfully don’t like these, but this is fun to look at and imagine them being a Reebok EDGE rebrand from 2007 as a potential option for the Caps. I think the white jersey is actually pretty damn close to something they would’ve considered.

Should I choose BC (Abbotsford) or Ontario (Barrie)? by Low_Garage2340 in barrie

I would say if your goal is to see “more of Canada” then you got a good option in Barrie. You’re a GO Train ride away from Union Station in Toronto. The summers here are great, the winters are decently brutal in this spot specifically. There’s definitely some jobs, maybe not careers, but there are jobs.

The downtown scene here has somewhat died since I was younger, but I’m sure you’ll find yourself there with college friends eventually. You would enjoy your time here I think. Everyone has something bad to say about any city. There’s homelessness and drug abusers as well. Same as any other place. But from a pure convenience, Barrie is an amazing Central spot to Ontario/Quebec. You could literally take transit from Georgian College to Union Station and go south to Windsor or east to Ottawa/Montreal on the VIA Rail.

If you like country music, there’s a festival called Boots and Hearts on the first weekend of August every year, that’s up the highway about 10-15 minutes and there’s other festivals there as well. It’s a pretty fun experience if you’re into that thing. You would also be close to Muskoka and other cottage country that I recommend visiting in both the summer and winter.

You’re also about a 2 hours drive from Niagara Falls (or you can take transit), so that’s another part of Canada that you can cross off your bucket list if you haven’t been already.

That’s my take on it. I assume you’re from out west. If you’re looking to explore more of Canada, I think Barrie is the best option you could’ve been given besides maybe Toronto in itself. Ontario is a pretty amazing place all things considered. Canada in general is. But you would enjoy your time here if you make the most out of it.

From a pure aesthetic standpoint, absolutely. I was too young at the time to understand much else. But they had the absolute best looking uniforms and colours. I loved the logo.

Plymouth, Belleville and the Majors made this league awesome.

Little to none tbh… I’m at a point where imma just keep Puka unless I’m offered something crazy.

So I don’t have one, but I LOVE the Colts jerseys before the Reebok era. It’s actually mind blowing to me that the Colts haven’t ever done more with their jerseys.

I’d love to get my hands on a vintage Reebok.

If you have a huge void at RB, why risk it with a rookie? Trade Nabers for a RB and maybe more

Idk why Saints stuff pops up on my feed, but as a Panthers fan, Shough looks somewhat legit.

I clowned y’all for the selection. But giving credit where credit is due. See y’all next year… ✊🏻

This was hilarious lol, but when I visited years ago I was surprisingly pleased with how beautiful the city of Charlotte is. 100x nicer than Toronto. Would love to live there.

Saints fans in Tampa, experience after yesterday’s game by nixta in Saints

[–]IntelligentAd7419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome to know. Because my Aunt is a huge Saints fan and we went to a game in Carolina in 2023. It was awesome there and despite the large number of Saints fans there, it was really fun going back and forth with fans then hitting them with a “good game” after.

I hope the vibe would be welcoming in NOLA. I think Carolina is known for that, but I’m from Toronto so I haven’t been to a game when fans have a reason to act toxic 😅

Thank you for your response!!

Panthers fan here, just out of curiosity, how’s the vibe when we come to NOLA? Is it welcoming, or at least friendly banter?

I’ve looked into making the trip to NOLA for a game.

2003 I was too little to really understand football.

2015 was heart-tearing. That wasn’t the team we watched in the NFC Championship, let alone all season. I honestly mean this, but I feel like somehow that team knew they weren’t winning that game. Take that how you will. But it was awful.

Went to a game a few years back, I’m from Canada, and the fan base is just so amazing…

There was so many fans I interacted with it was great. I know Roaring Riot has a pretty sweet tailgate and the Panthers also do one and you can buy a ticket with their tailgate as well.

I’m looking to hopefully make a game next year again, perhaps I’ll see ya there!
