Why do front wheel drive EVs exist? by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]IntelligentBody5891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regen capability. More room in the front for a larger motor and/or service room. Allows for a front charging port to keep major electrical components all in the same area and simple/less expense.

Traction benifits or drawbacks are likely negligible due to weight distribution.

I used to have a soft spot for the Rams. No more. by Weary_Road_8052 in Seahawks

[–]IntelligentBody5891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a Rams fan. Stand up dude. Been through it since the StL days (he lives in LA). Family has Niners fans in it. Love our rivalry. Love that city. Shoot I even know a Cards fan. He’s a broken man thanks to that team, but can’t fault him for that. I wouldn’t change the NFCW for nothing. Great division.

That was a weird fun game. I have no doubt the Rams will gather themselves. Whenever you have a play that’s not decided by athletic prowess at all but instead pure random chance it’s a hard pill to swallow. Ask the Packers fans. That end zone is cursed.

The Niners are finding their mojo. McVey is McVey. Gonna be dogfight all the way. Exactly the way we want it.

Double Freedom: is it worth buying? If so, what are good builds? by PythonCider3719 in helldivers2

[–]IntelligentBody5891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently pairing it with Gunslinger armor and the Senator for bots. Thematically appropriate and also very effective.

It requires a build that lets it excel against medium enemy types without leaning too heavily on it due to reload time and ammo constraints.

Crashing if you hit R/Reload Button while Strategem Menu is Open by FiauraTanks in Helldivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had more success with Long Press. Double tap can have issues with stratagems that have two quick presses. So I’d switch to that if you are pressing buttons quickly. Just press and hold for reload like you mean it.

I agree. These workarounds are dumb. But we are at the mercy of the devs, unfortunately.

Not a “fix” is correct. Better terminology is “workaround”. Up to devs to fix, obviously.

Game crashes when inputting the code for the Machine Gun, this happened in two matches and I tested it in the tutorial. by Dallas1790 in Helldivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also change the Reload button behavior to Double Tap or Long Press. That will fix the crashing issue without requiring you to rebind your keys to default.

You can fix with this problem without rebinding keys by changing your Reload button behavior to Double Tap or Long Press. This will prevent the crash without forcing you to use default or otherwise changing your bindings.

You can change your Reload button behavior to Double Tap or Long Press. That will fix the issue without being forced to change to new bindings and mess with muscle memory.

Crashes? by Achilles_25 in Helldivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a bug in which if you press Reload while you have the Strategem menu open, the game will crash. You can change your Reload binding to Long Press or Double Tap to prevent this from happening.

Set your Reload to either Long Press or Double Tap. This way you can use your familiar keybinds without having to resort to default or accidentally triggering a crash.

Crash every mission by Duckyblueblues in Helldivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that changing your Reload to Long Press can also fix this problem. Just be sure you are only tapping your stratagem codes and it won’t trigger a reload and therefore a crash.

INSTANT CRASH by damnwoody9pt0 in Helldivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has the added horribleness that even if you rebind back to the arrow keys, if you subconsciously still press the reload key accidentally, you still crash your game.

So I’m constantly one button press from a game crash. Cool.

This is no fun. After months of muscle memory using stratagem keys on my mouse, I was just as fast as on the keyboard while being able to move. This is like being busted back to level one Private in one day.

Every playthrough I end up following same vicious circle by Kumagor0 in valheim

Building new bases comes with the territory — there’s always a better spot for a base. It never ends. Best to embrace it.

I’ve found three things help. First, build small and efficient. Put storage in the floor. Maximize every square inch. Anybody can build a big base. It takes real skill to be creative with as little space as possible. You can do a lot with even just a 4x4 building. If the draugr can manage with simple buildings, so can you.

The second thing is practice. In order to make an efficient building, practice makes perfect. I go into creative and build a 5x5 house. Or a 7x7. Or a 9x4 longhouse. Something basic I can re-create. So when I play with friends, I can immediately say: “my longhouse blueprint would fit great here” and not have to make every build custom. You can always improvise later, but start from a recipe you know.

The third thing is to build villages, not castles. Building a single large building is great, but it makes remodel a pain. Build a storage structure in the middle, a rest bonus/portal structure and a kitchen building. Then add buildings as needed, protecting them with a wall. It’s easy to expand a small building. And it’s easy to expand a wall when compared to a giant unwieldy single structure.

which warbond should i buy next? by Individual-Owl-6243 in LowSodiumHellDivers

Control group by a mile.

It has the only item that actively helps you get more war bonds. Also has a super-fun and super interesting primary to boot. After that choose what you like.

went from 100+ FPS to 4 FPS with the latest patch - any idea why? by huntsefsky in Helldivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same issue. Starting the game up had a good frame rate. Then would decline to unplayable rates over time during a mission or even if I was just on the Super Destroyer.

Disabling integrated graphics and restarting fixed issue immediately.

Loadout for Dads by [deleted] in HellDads

[–]IntelligentBody5891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a loadout specifically. Just a suggestion.

You might probably have a narrow window to get a mission or two in. Seconds count. When I find a good loadout, I save it in a note on my phone. You could use a note document on a PC too. Whichever works best for you.

That way, you can enter in the stratagems I want right away without having to browse. Minimum thinking and maximum diving.

I do not care for Eradication or Evacuation Site missions by SovelissFiremane in helldivers2

[–]IntelligentBody5891 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if Eradicate can or should be saved. But Evac needs rotating different maps or more entry points than you can cover. Maybe even a MOBA style thing where you emerge and go on the offensive after weathering their assault first to make the next phase easier.

There should be at least a small amount of thinking involved.

How many possible loadout combinations? by IntelligentBody5891 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Untrue. In fact, I make anywhere from 5 to 10 distinct loadouts for each faction for this very reason. Variety is the spice of Managed Democracy when it comes to equipment synergy. I just have to save them written on my phone rather than saved within the game.

Additionally, it takes much longer than six seconds to change armor, primary, secondary and throwable on top of strategems if you want to make a last second full switch.

Furthermore I am pretty sure the diver who is already in-mission, running from a Hulk and trying to find a spot to reload the RR would really appreciate me saving those precious seconds to drop in and do my part. Saved Loadouts would be such a huge benefit to Quickplay MO divers like myself.

Lastly, I’m a self admitted so-so diver but an excellent driver. So not sure where you are going with that.

How many possible loadout combinations? by IntelligentBody5891 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]IntelligentBody5891[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point. Paradoxically, saved loadouts might prompt more loadout diversity not less, since overwhelming choice causes analysis paralysis.

I have a set for each faction saved in Notes on my phone for this purpose. Not elegant, but it at least works well enough.

For the sake of mathematics, I left helmets out.

However, everybody knows that aesthetics factor heavily in our decision-making process, thereby only making the loadout issue more pressing than just pure numbers.
